Abilene Christian head soccer coach Casey Wilson Monday announced the addition of former Abilene High School forward Tori Hale to his program’s coaching staff in preparation for the 2015 season.
Hale joins a staff that also features third-year assistant and goalkeeper coach Stephen Salas and longtime volunteer assistant coach Lucas Gibbs. Wilson is at the start of his ninth year as the Wildcats head coach.
Hale comes to ACU following a decorated three-year career at Texas State. She contributed 14 points in 2014 on five goals (game-winners vs. A&M-Corpus Christi and Northwestern State) and four assists, helping the Bobcats post an overall record of 11-7-2 and reach the semifinals of the Sun Belt Championships. The year previous she made Second Team All-SBC after providing nine assists, and as a sophomore in 2012 she scored 16 points behind five goals and six assists.
Hale graduated from Texas State’s Honors Program Summa Cum Laude in the spring of 2015 with degrees in English and psychology. She made Dean’s List each semester and twice was voted to the Capital One Academic All-District Team (2013, 2014). Hale also received the Oak Farms Cream of the Crop 4.0 Award on three occasions, and in 2014 she was tabbed Most Outstanding Student for the Texas State Honor College.
