Vijay Dias enters his first season as assistant coach for the Northern Arizona women’s soccer team. Dias comes from Carroll College in Helena, Mont. where he was the assistant coach for the men’s program. Dias recently spent the 2013-14 year playing professional soccer for the Eagles FC of Kerala in the I-League II in India. Prior to Carroll College, Dias spent three years serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Montana women’s soccer team. Dias’ duties were to assist head coach Mark Plakorus in student-athlete evaluation, technical training and tactical game planning. While he was volunteering with Montana soccer, Dias was also an Elite Academy Director at the University of Montana Grizzly Soccer Academy, managing the student-athlete camp staff while aiding the on-field training sessions. Dias also played professionally from 2004-2011 spending time in the MLS with the Columbus Crew and also in the USL with Miami FC and the LA Blues.
