William Yomby is entering his fourth season with the Black & Gold in 2016.

During much of the year, Yomby is playing with the local USL pro squad, the Richmond Kickers. The rest of the year, he is serving as the volunteer assistant coach for the Rams. Yomby brings quite a playing pedigree to VCU, having played professionally since he was drafted in the 2008 MLS SuperDraft by the Kansas City Wizards. After being selected as the 23rd overall pick, Yomby has also played for the Puerto Rico Islanders (USL first division) and the Kickers.

In his college days, Yomby was an All-CAA defender at Old Dominion. He helped the Monarchs to three straight NCAA Tournaments during his time in Norfolk.

Originally from Bafoussam, Cameroon, Yomby now resides in Richmond.
