Former Maryland goalkeeper Yewande Balogun is in her first season as an assistant coach under head coach Ray Leone. Balogun previously served as an assistant at American University.
In her lone season at American, Balogun oversaw senior goalkeeper Charlene Belanger, who saw improvements in goals against average, shutouts and save percentage from the previous year. American also performed in the classroom during Balogun’s tenure with 14 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll selections.
