Jacksonville University Athletic Director Alex Ricker-Gilbert announced the hiring of All-American Laura Kane as the next women's soccer head coach on May 31, 2018.
Tabbed as the sixth head coach in program history, Kane brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience at many levels to the River City, having competed professionally and held coaching positions with several collegiate and developmental programs.
Kane joins the Dolphins following a stint at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, where she was the assistant head coach and recruiting coordinator during the 2017 season, handling coaching, video analysis, scouting and travel planning duties. A member of the 2017 Regional Staff of the Year, she helped the program turn a 3-12-1 record from the previous season into a 17-5-1 showing and a trip to the NCAA Division II Tournament. After winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament, the Mountain Lions hosted contests in the first and second round for the first time in school history, winning three matches to advance to their first-ever Division II Final Four appearance.
A successful collegiate athlete, she continued her playing career professionally in 2008, spending time in Sweden and with F.C. Indiana of the W-League. Kane again saw time on the field from 2012-15, competing with the W-League's Colorado Pride and the ASA Chesapeake Charge Women's Professional Soccer League. She received the 2013 WPSL All-East Player of the Year award.
Following her time in Colorado, Kane began serving as the Director of Programming for the Florida Elite Soccer Academy in Jacksonville in 2018, and has also spent the beginning of the year working with the U.S. Soccer Federation as a National Team Coordinator, assisting in the training of U14-U20 players across the country.
Prior to her return to the collegiate ranks, Kane held administrative roles with multiple club soccer teams, contributing to the growth and foundation to the teams she was a part of. She served as the Youth Academy Director for the Orange County Strikers of Irvine, Calif. From 2016-17, and was the Developmental Director for the Pride Soccer Club of Colorado Springs for the 2015-16 season. Kane stepped into her first directorial position with the Soccer Shots Children's Soccer Experience, working her way from a coach in 2009 to a District Manager across Virginia and Maryland. She took over her own branch in 2013, serving as the Owner and Executive Director of Soccer Shots in Colorado Springs for three years.
Prior to moving to the club soccer circuit, Kane was the top assistant coach at Bucknell University from 2009-2011. Under her direction, the Bison saw 11 players earn All Patriot-League honors, including Christa Matlock, who earned a pair of NSCAA Scholar All-American honors, and was the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year in 2010.
Kane's first coaching experience came with Purdue University, where she served as an assistant coach from 2006-08. The Boilermakers posted a 34-8-6 record in her two seasons with the team, capturing the Big Ten Tournament title and advancing to the NCAA Tournament both years.
Kane was a four-year letter-winner at West Virginia University from 2001-2004 under coach Nikki Izzo-Brown, serving as a team captain her senior year. Helping her team qualify for the NCAA Tournament in each of her four seasons on the field, she received First-Team Big East and NSCAA Scholar All-American honors her following her junior and senior campaigns, and was a Third-Team NSCAA All-American her senior year. She recieved a bachelor's degree in physical education and health, and later a master's degree in athletic coaching education from WVU.

Florida Southern

Paul Lawrence is entering his fourth year as Florida Southerns head womens soccer coach after taking charge of the program December of 2016.
In his first year at Florida Southern, he guided the Mocs to an 8-3-4 overall record and 5-2-3 mark in Sunshine State Conference play. That represented a six-game improvement overall, a jump of six places in the SSC standings for their best regular-season finish in five years, and their first winning season since 2010. The eight wins were also the most by a first-year head coach in team history.
The one-year turn-around was not only reflected in Florida Southerns won-loss record, it was also demonstrated on the final stat sheet. The Moccasins increased their scoring output by nearly two goals per game (a difference of 1.71), there was a ten percent drop in goals-against average, and the teams shutout total more than doubled. It was the Mocs best season on offense since 2009, and their best on defense since 2011. Only two teams in the SSC scored more goals per game than Florida Southern just one year after the Mocs had finished ninth in that department, and they went from eighth in scoring margin to second.
Lawrence also returned the Moccasins to the SSC Tournament for the first time since 2013, and had them in contention for the NCAA Tournament as well. Florida Southern was ranked in the top eight of all three South Region polls conducted by the NCAA and was not eliminated from that race until the final game of the season. The Moccasins finished ninth in the United Soccer Coaches South Region Poll, their first postseason regional ranking since they were ninth at the end of the 2011 season.
Lawrences first team at Florida Southern picked up several individual awards as well, with three Moccasins making the All-Sunshine State Conference Womens Soccer Team, and one of them, Alexa Moberley, earning All-South Region honors. The three all-conference selections were the most since 2012, and Moberley was their first all-region performer in three years. The Mocs excelled in the classroom under Lawrence too with a school-record four womens soccer players landing on the academic all-district team, and senior defender Juliana Guida voted Second Team Academic All-American. A league-high 26 players made the SSC Commissioners Honor Roll and 10 did so with perfect 4.00 GPAs.
With his 8-3-4 record at Florida Southern, Lawrence now owns a career record of 43-23-7 in four seasons as a collegiate head coach. He previously served that role at Knox College in Illinois from 2014-16 where he led the Prairie Fire to a mark of 35-20-3. His final team there was the best in school history, going 19-1-1, winning the Midwest Conference regular season and tournament championships for the first time, and earning their first bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
That season saw the Prairie Fire set numerous school and conference records and become the first team at Knox College to go through the regular season undefeated since the 1919 football team went 8-0. They outscored their opponents 65-6, and posted 17 shutouts with a 0.28 goals-against average that ranked fifth in the nation in Division III. They also ranked third nationally in shutout percentage (.810), seventh in save percentage (.903), and 23rd in scoring offense (3.10 goals per game). Knox also earned a top-25 ranking in the NSCAA national poll for the first time in program history, five players earned All-MWC honors, three were named to the All-North Region Team, and Lawrence was selected the MWC Coach-of-the-Year.
When Lawrence was named the head womens soccer coach at Knox College in January of 2014, the Prairie Fire had not had a winning season in 18 years, not qualified for the conference tournament since 1995, nor won a conference game since 2011. After a 3-14 campaign in his first season, Lawrence guided them to a 13-5-2 record in 2015 and a spot in the conference championship game for the first time ever. Their 9½-game improvement was the third-best in NCAA Division III that year and tied for the ninth best all-time at that level. One year later, Lawrence led them to their school-record 19 wins and their first trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Lawrence came to Knox College from Northwood University in Michigan where he spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons as an assistant coach under Dean Pappas. He helped the Timberwolves make back-to-back Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournaments, and nearly upset undefeated and eventual national champion Grand Valley State in the 2013 GLIAC Tournament.

Stetson
Division 1
Khettry said after accepting the position. From the moment I began learning about Stetson, I knew it was a special place, Khettry continued. But after meeting with Dr. Wendy Libby and Jeff Altier, I was so impressed with their vision for the future of Stetson and Stetson Athletics, that I knew I wanted to be a part of what they are creating. In his two seasons with the Hatters, Khettry is 11-22-3 overall, and 6-9-1 in Atlantic Sun Conference matches. The veteran head coach has produced three All-Atlantic Sun performers, one All-Freshman team member and three academic all-conference honorees. It didnt take long for Khettry to make his mark. The 2013 season was a bit of a surprise for the Hatters, especially considering Khettry arrived on campus in early April and didnt have much time to recruit. The Hatters opened the season with a 6-6-2 mark and were second in A-Sun play when senior goalkeeper Victoria Troccoli went down with injury. She missed the final four games and the Hatters, missing their leader, lost all of their remaining contests. Considering they were picked ninth in the preseason poll, the Hatters enjoyed a successful year in 2013. The six total victories were the most in three seasons, while Stetsons four conference wins tied for the most in four years. Khettry came to DeLand with a wealth of experience, most recently holding the position of Head Womens Soccer Coach at St. Bonaventure in New York. He coached the Bonnies for seven seasons, leading the team to five straight Atlantic 10 Tournaments from 2008 to 2012. St. Bonaventure was one of only three A-10 schools to qualify for the Atlantic 10 Tournament from 2008-2012 (Dayton and Charlotte being the other two). Named the A-10 Coach of the Year in 2008, Khettry also led St. Bonaventure to its first conference semifinals in 2010. I am so happy to have Manoj join our staff, Altier said in March 2013. He comes to us with a tremendous amount of head coaching experience, successful head coaching experience, especially at a resource challenged institution. Hes going to come into Stetson with more resources available to him than he has had in the past. I have full confidence that hes going to take our program to heights that we have never reached before. Khettrys Bonnies also excelled in the classroom during his tenure. St. Bonaventure qualified for the NSCAA Team Academic Award six years in a row from 2007 to 2012. Twice during that time the Bonnies were in the Top 10 overall (2007-08: Top 5, 2008-09: Top 10). His players also earned a multitude of honors on the pitch, as the Bonnies had a First Team All-Conference selection five straight years, from 2008 to 2012. Prior to taking over the reins at St. Bonaventure, Khettry held assistant coaching positions at the University of Dayton and the University of Missouri (2001-2003). He was with the Flyers from 2003 to 2006 as the teams top assistant. Responsible for recruiting, team training, goalkeeper training, scouting reports and video, Dayton won the A-10 regular season championship and tournament championship, and earned a berth to the NCAA Tournament twice while Khettry was aboard (2003, 2004). Khettrys first job in coaching was as a graduate assistant at Miami (Ohio) from 1991-94. From there, Khettry went on to become the Director of Coaching of the Cincinnati Classics from 1994-1998. There he was responsible for hiring coaches for more than 30 teams, creating a club-wide training curriculum and overseeing the administration of the club. Khettry then became the assistant coach at California. He worked with the Golden Bears for one season, before moving on to work with adidas America as the US Youth Soccer/NSCAA Promotions Manager from 1999-2001. From 2005 to 2007, Khettry also spent time as an assistant coach for Region 2 (86/87 age group, 91 age group). Khettry has been involved with Region 1 as a staff coach since 2006. A former National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-American, and three-time NSCAA All-Region honoree while playing at Earlham College in Indiana, Khettry graduated from the college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988. He also holds a Master of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Miami University of Ohio. Khettry received his A License from US Soccer in January 1995 and holds the NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, which he received in January 1994.

North Florida
Division 1
Devin Zvosec joined the UNF women's soccer staff as an assistant coach in March of 2017. He was promoted to recruiting coordinator for the Ospreys in April of 2018.
Zvosec played an instrumental role in revamping the Ospreys' defense, turning it into one of the stingiest defensive units in the ASUN. UNF finished the 2017 season with the best goals against average in the program's NCAA D1 era and decreased the number of goals surrendered by 16 from the previous season. North Florida finished the season allowing just 19 goals while producing seven shutouts. Keeper Rhiannon Conelley finished the season with a 1.14 goals against average, 0.750 save percentage and tallied the second-most season shutouts (6) of the Division I era. Connelley also set program NCAA D1 era record for most wins.
In addition, Zvosec helped the Ospreys' offense become one of the most formidable squads in the ASUN, as the Ospreys increased from 16 goals scored in 2017 to 26 goals scored in 2018. Midfielder Thais Reiss was among the league leaders in points (17), goals (6) and assists (5) on her way to earning All-ASUN First Team accolades and United Soccer Coaches All-South Region third team. Fellow midfielder Kendra Hoffman earned a spot on the ASUN All-Freshmen Team after finishing with 13 points on five goals and three assists.
Prior to his arrival at North Florida, Zvosec served one season as a graduate assistant coach at Ole Miss. Zvosec was involved in all aspects of the program at Ole Miss, including team training, individual training, film breakdown, scouting and Ole Miss youth camp coordination.
He also spent part of a spring season assisting the women's soccer program at Arkansas State.

As part of our COVID-19 safety plan, the indoor sessions traditionally held on the first day of camp will be shared online.
Sessions will be accessible for the week prior to camp. They are available on-demand and can be completed at the athlete's
convenience.
This approach allows us to continue offering these valuable sessions so athletes arrive to camp ready to maximize the experience,
while still maintaining a safe experience.
EXACT partners with college goalkeeper coaches to prioritize a premium experience for goalkeepers.
All GKs participate in individual keeper-specific training led by college GK coaches
Training focuses on all GK skills including footwork, shot stopping, crossing, and more; GKs receive a 1-on-1 evaluation based on their performance

The staff, the players, and the coaches that were apart of this camp were such genuine and caring people that I really felt welcome when I stepped on the field. Also, it was just a really fun experience where I had the chance to interact with fellow soccer lovers and I learned so much. I have to give it 10 out of 10 soccer balls.
This is one of the first times I've had the opportunity to interact so closely with college coaches and it really opened up my eyes not only to the opportunities that are available to me, but also the personalities of these coaches. They truly care about the improvement and development of their players and it's so wonderful spending time with such professional and involved people.

EXACT offers a great experience that blends on field training in a college atmosphere with off field soft skills needed to help become a better candidate for recruitment. The coaches provide excellent, real world feedback to parents and athletes on what and what not to do. Overall its a great experience that provides insight that will serve the players and the parents well during the recruiting period.

My daughter had a great time. The coaches were professional and very approachable. The question and answer panel with the coaches was informative. There was more interaction between the players and coaches than I expected from attending other "camps". The coaches really made an effort to be available when not on the field. I would highly recommend this experience to others. Soccer players can never get enough exposure for a reasonable price, nor can they gain enough experience playing with girls that are unknown to them.

I went to the first ID Camp in Philly. We were so encouraged that we attended this one in DC. I have always dreamed about 1) going to college and 2) playing soccer in college. I got to meet a lot of great coaches and athletes. I learned something new at each camp. I wish there were more camps close to me so we could attend more. I am a senior and need all the help I can get in hopes to find the right college. I loved how the coaches were there to help us and give us directions on the spot. My mentor Coach was Mike Eckberg. Towson is on my "dream" list - and we are now going to schedule a visit as he suggested. I am so excited and I know I still have a long road ahead, but every journey has a beginning. Even though I am getting started a little late, I feel like EXACT really has helped me come flying out of the gate!

I really appreciated the atmosphere that EXACT Sports Elite Camp provided. Everyone was included in any drill or game we were doing. It was an awesome experience to meet girls I've never seen before early in the morning, practice drills and techniques with them, and play with them/against them later in the same day. It is very different than practicing with the same team every day, every year. It was an experience to go out on a field with complete strangers and interact with them on the field. I also loved the number of college coaches who were at the camp. Especially at my young age, I haven't yet focused on one or two schools yet, so having a wide variety coaches from different schools and levels was exactly what I needed and was looking for.

I loved the environment of the EXACT camp. It's so different from other camps because it takes into account the mental aspect of the game instead of just the physical aspect. The environment was friendly and welcome, and this camp gave me a giant boost of confidence whether for striking up a conversation with a college coach or just on the field. It was very informative and I feel like I'm on the right track for being recruited at a college that is the right fit for me. Thank you!

I had a great experience at the Chicago EXACT Soccer Camp. The one-on-one conversations with coaches was invaluable as was the overall coaching I received during training and games throughout the weekend. I plan to be back next year! On a side note please share with your staff how great they were when I went down with an injury on Sunday...torn ACL and surgery in my very near future, but having had the opportunity to showcase myself and meet the coaches and staff was the best experience I have ever had at any camp so far and I WILL be back next year.

I was very satisfied with the program and how it was run. Being new to these types of experiences and camps, I was happy to see how the staff was kind and helpful to all the athletes. I know that in the future if an opportunity like this swings around the corner I will have no trouble snatching it. I had an amazing time at this camp and hope it happens again. Thank you to all for hosting it. Also having celebrity's host a camp like this one makes it very special to a lot of the athletes.

My EXACT camp experience was great. It was a wonderful learning experience in the perfect environment. The coaches and the EXACT staff made sure we focused on not only our skills and abilities that are crucial, but they also really focused on mental aspect of the game as well and I really enjoyed that.

I was actually so nervous going into the camp, but once I got the to camp all of my nervousness went away. The coaches were all very nice and the camp was a comfortable place with everyone being very supportive. Not only was it enjoyable, I was able to talk to the coaches one-on-one, and get honest and thoughtful feedback to improve my athletic abilities and talents.
Before attending the EXACT Camp, I was very uneducated about college soccer and didn't have a set school I was interested in, but this camp helped me have a better understanding of what to look for in the future.

EXACT is a very good way to promote yourself if you are wanting to play at the next level. The most inspiring thing about EXACT is that they want everyone to believe in themselves, which goes a long way when you are trying to be your best.
The camp was very well run, and it is essential that everyone try to go to at least one EXACT camp while they still have the opportunity.

The EXACT Camp was really informative and challenging. The coaches were very honest and gave me some really good information and tips, which I really enjoyed it.
Overall, it was an excellent camp experience, wish I lived in America to visit more ID camps, coaches gave me much more coaching and training then my own coaches, so it was good to see that I can pick it up a bit to improve my overall performances. I have gone MENTALLLLL!!!!!!!

I loved that I was able to communicate and work with a variety of different coaches. It was an eye opening experience and I was surprised how sociable I was with the other girls at the camp, because I am usually shy and don't want to talk to people. Thank you and two thumbs up to you for getting me out of my shell.

I was impressed with the overall flow and their ability to adapt to adverse scheduling conflicts from the facility. This is a great opportunity for my daughter to see beyond the club and school soccer, and the annoying reminding from us. It helps keep her motivated and going in the direction she wants to go with this sport. We'll definitely return to future camps. I as a parent was able to network with parents of older girls as well which helps me greatly in the posit of my daughters goals.

I have been playing soccer since I was five years old. I am now 13 years old and I continue to love playing soccer, but lately I have been struggling. I had lost confidence in myself and I was always afraid to make mistakes which as a result I stopped taking risks and challenging myself. But, after attending EXACT Camp for just one day I was able to learn a lot of things. I learned that it is OK to take risks and just because I am a smaller player than other athletes does not mean I am not a strong player. EXACT Sports helped me get my confidence back and to be a more vocal player. I learned valuable lessons that I can take with me on and off the field. I learned so much in just one day. I wish the camp was all week long. Thank you again!
P.S. I already started looking into colleges.
