Our company is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and personable Regional Sports Scout and Community Liaison / Journalist. This role is pivotal in identifying promising young athletes at various youth sports events and fostering strong relationships within the sports community. While writing skills are beneficial, the emphasis of this role is on exceptional interpersonal skills, as the candidate will be extensively involved in interviewing coaches, engaging with players, and disseminating information about the media platform. Writing tasks will be supported by digital tools, allowing the focus to remain on identification, interaction and relationship building.

Talent Identification

Attend youth sports events to identify potential athletes.
Engage with coaches, players, and their families, providing information about our media site and selection processes.
Foster strong community relationships and represent our company positively at events.

Interviewing & Networking

Conduct interviews with coaches and players to gather rankings data & featured content.
Network within the sports community to promote our events, enhancing our presence and reach.

Collaborative Content

Utilize content creation tools: articles & player profiles.
Collaborate with the team to ensure content accuracy and alignment with our company’s standards.
Leverage community relationships to gather meaningful content including interviews & photos.

Admin & Org Efficiency

Manage and document scouting activities, community interactions, and event attendance.
Coordinate efforts with the team to align scouting and community engagement strategies effectively.
