Residential Rates (2023)

Here is some information about how the residential (overnight) program works for those traveling.  We take great care in ensuring players arrive safely to camp (and throughout camp as well!). Here are some answers to typical questions about the residential program and how we ensure your child has a great experience at camp:

Who is the residential program for?

For campers that are traveling far, unaccompanied by a family member.  If a parent is attending as well, we encourage using hotels.com (as it has lowest fares for families to book their joint room).  

Why is overnight residency optional?

At the EXACT Academic Camp, typically 30-40% of campers choose to stay in the overnight accommodations.  The other 60-70% of campers typically bring a family member. EXACT events are "open" to parents & family members -- we encourage interaction & observation from the athlete's family.

Should parents attend with child or send on own?

Whether the athlete comes SOLO and does the residential program or comes WITH FAMILY, we guarantee that exposure and training will be superior to anything previously experienced. Plus, it's really fun!

How do we sign up?

Those interested in lodging can add on after registration on your camp dashboard. Sometimes, you can select either a solo (one athlete) room or a double (two+ athlete) room.  Enrollment must be completed at least 14+ days prior to camp.

Where do campers stay?

Campers stay in EXACT-supervised accommodations (typically a hotel) with 1-3 fellow participating players (almost always 2 in a room). Our staff is on site managing the evening experience (which is mainly to relax, unwind and refresh with new friends or solo in their room [when staying in a hotel, amenities include clean sheets, towels, private bathroom, television, climate control, housekeeping, etc)).

What is included?

Included in the EXACT residency option are both (2) nights lodging, dinners (between the 3 days of camp), breakfasts and shuttle transit between the camp game facility and of course the overnight accommodations (plus all the fun you can handle!).

Will my child "miss out" by not being there at night?

This optional evening residency is separate from the daily gameplay/training activities. Typically, evening activities include meals, movie, unwind, and relaxed hangout. There are no college exposure or training activities during these events as the evening is intended to help the players "refresh" for the next day's fun and intense, college exposure activities! 

Who is overseeing the residential activities?

Activities are supervised by counselors (typically current college athletes, coaches or EXACT staff). We monitor all activities and do nightly room checks.

Can I request to room with a friend?

Definitely.  Friendship requests can be made after registering for camp. Just fill it in on your camp dashboard at https://mycamp.exactsports.com/ (after selecting the residential option).

Can I come a night early or stay an extra night?

Our staff will be on site the day prior, but we do not officially organize programs beforehand.  If you plan to stay the night prior, let us know.  You'd need book through the hotel and we can 'sign' you in as needed if staying at same location. EXACT staff departs from camp the night after camp ends.

What about transportation to/from airport?

Players will have the separate option to get on EXACT airport transit which will take the athlete from airport to camp (and back to airport after camp ends). Camp check-in on day 1 is from 12-1pm and the final day ends at 5pm.  Therefore, you should try to book your flight to arrive in the airport by 11am and have your departing flight leave after 8pm if possible.  

What if the "timing" doesn't work for me?

If you need arrive later or depart earlier, that's no problem -- we schedule many pickups so you will be fine.  Just let us know your flight times after registering. We want you to join the great event experience, so let us know how we might help accommodate your travel.  Arrival & departure times can be flexible and we'll do what we can to ensure you both a safe, fun, and valuable experience!
