11/5/2015 — EXACT Soccer announced today the addition of SoccerGrlProbs as a special guest for its December 2015 Girls ID Camps in Southern California (Dec. 12-13), Orlando (Dec. 19), Dallas (Dec. 20), Chicago (Dec. 21), and Connecticut (Dec. 22).
The SoccerGrlProbs team will work alongside the 15 to 30 college coaches EXACT has confirmed for each event to help prepare talented high school girls from around the country for college soccer.
“We are thrilled to have the SoccerGrlProbs team involved this winter,” said EXACT’s Camp Director, Sam Morgan. “The focus at our events is to develop complete athletes on and off the field, and they are a great role model for young women who not only love soccer and want to play in college, but also want to pursue other dreams and aspirations beyond that.”
SoccerGrlProbs was founded by three former members of Fairfield University’s Division 1 Women’s Soccer team — Carly Beyar, Shannon Fay and Alanna Locast. During their August 2011 preseason, while joking around with teammates about the struggles of being a female soccer player, they decided to start a Twitter account to share their experience. What started as a comedic venting outlet evolved into a lifestyle brand and an inspirational voice for female athletes around the world. Today, SoccerGrlProbs has a huge following with hundreds of thousands of fans on Twitter and over 11 million video views on YouTube.
“We are extremely excited to join EXACT Soccer for their ID Camps this winter,” said Shannon Fay, co-fouding member of SoccerGrlProbs. “Our mission is to use the SoccerGrlProbs platform to support and encourage the well-being and positive self-image of young female athletes everywhere. We think EXACT’s approach is fantastic and can’t wait to interact and share our experience with girls who’s shoes we were in not too long ago.”
