Wake Forest head men's soccer coach Bobby Muuss announced the hiring of Matt Poplawski as the program's new Volunteer Assistant Coach prior to the 2017 season. He enters his second year in 2018.
In his first year in Winston-Salem, he helped the Deacs to a 19-2-2 overall record and 7-0-1 mark in the ACC. By winning the ACC Championship, Wake Forest became the first team in the league to finish the ACC regular season and Championship undefeated since 1999. The Deacs were rewarded with ACC Offensive Player of the Year (Jon Bakero) and Defensive Player of the Year (Kevin Politz) honors, as each was also named an All-American.
Poplawski is part of a staff which earned the United Soccer Coaches Region Staff of the Year honors in 2017. He helped coach MAC Hermann Trophy winner Jon Bakero and CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year winner Kevin Politz, who became two of the seven Deacons to head to the MLS ranks following the season.
Poplawski joined the Demon Deacons from Penn, where he was a 2017 graduate of the Wharton School of Business, and a two-sport varsity athlete.
On the pitch, Poplawski was a two-time All-Ivy League honoree and two-year team captain. He also played basketball for two seasons, appearing in 17 games.

Jacob Wilson returned to his alma mater when he joined the Cal mens soccer coaching staff in 2016 as an assistant coach under former Cal head coach Kevin Grimes - who mentored Wilson when the latter was a Golden Bears player.
Jake has played in all levels of soccer (Recreational, competitive club, high school, Division 1 college--Cal, semi-pro--PDL and NPSL, and professionally) He has a great understanding of what it means.

Head coach Mark Berson announced on March 27, 2017, the hiring of Justin Cook as an assistant coach for the men's soccer program at the University of South Carolina. Cook joins the Gamecocks after 10 seasons (2007-16) as an assistant coach at Tulsa.
"Justin joins us from the University of Tulsa where he has consistently brought in outstanding recruiting classes and assisted in helping TU put an outstanding team on the field each year," said Berson, "He has an outstanding pedigree as a player at Ohio State, where he was one of only two players in history to earn both Big Ten freshman of the year honors and then Big Ten player of the Year honors as a senior."
Cook most recently served as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator for the Golden Hurricane. While with Tulsa, he was a part of eight NCAA Tournament teams, three American Athletic Conference Tournament Championships (2014-16), four C-USA Tournament Championships (2007-09) and three C-USA Regular Season Championships. In their eight NCAA berths with Cook, the Golden Hurricane advanced to the second round four times (2007-08, 10, 15), the third round once (2012) and the NCAA Quarterfinals once (2009). In 2010, the program received a school-best No. 2 national ranking. The program compiled a 117-60-25 (.683 pct) record overall during Cook's time there.
While with Tulsa, Cook recruited three MAC Hermann Trophy candidates, three All-Americans, five academic All-Americans, three C-USA Players of the Year, two C-USA Defensive Players of the Year, 28 all-conference selections and one member of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Men's Soccer Team.
Cook had a highly decorated career as a player as well. He was inducted into the 2015 Ohio State University Athletics Hall of Fame after earning Big Ten All-Conference honors four times. He was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2000 and the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2004. He was selected 51st overall in the 2005 Major League Soccer SuperDraft. Cook is a native of Orlando, Fla. He and his wife Stefanie have three children - two daughters, Piper and Riley - and a son, Gavin.

Potts was hired as Navys volunteer assistant coach for the mens soccer program in July of 2019
Before Navy, Potts began his collegiate coaching career at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. As the assistant coach and goalkeeper coach, he helped the Dragons to a 12-9 record and three shutouts. Howard went on to win the Region 20 Tournament and made it to the NJCAA National Tournament.
Along with coaching at Howard Community College, Potts coaches with Born to Fly soccer program, Maryland State Olympic Development Program, Next Level Soccer Club, and Baltimore Armour Developmental Academy. He started coaching in youth soccer in the Winter of 2017 with Born to Fly.
Potts currently holds a US Soccer National D Coaching License. He also complete the United Soccer Coaches Level 1 Goalkeeper Course.
Potts started his collegiate playing career at UMBC playing the 2016 and 2017 seasons with the Retrievers. He also played in the Spring of 2018 with Georgia Southern.
Potts is currently pursuing his Bachelors of Science in Sport Management with a Minor in Business Administration at Towson University.

Chris Volk joined the UC Riverside Men's Soccer Team as an assistant coach in August of 2017. Since his arrival at UCR, he has helped the Highlanders to 3 Big West Championships and two appearances to the NCAA Division I Tournament (2018 and 2022).
Volk is best known to area soccer fans as the longtime assistant coach and head coach at UC Irvine. During his 20 years with the Anteaters, Volk helped UCI to five NCAA Tournament appearances, including three trips to the Sweet 16.
The 'Eaters won four Big West Conference Championships, and four conference tournament titles during his final nine years with the program. Over that time span, UC Irvine compile a 106-67-22 win-loss record, and six national Top-25 rankings.
Volk was named the NSCAA Far West Regional Assistant Coach of the Year in 2008, and was a finalist for the national assistant coach of the year that same season.
Eleven of his student-athletes were drafted by MLS teams, and 33 earned Big West All-Academic honors.
Prior to his time at UC Irvine, Volk was the men's assistant coach at San Diego State, the assistant coach and goalkeeper coach at San Diego Mesa College, an assistant in the California Soccer Association South, and a Region IV ODP/Coach and Instructor. He also served as the head coach of the Orange County SC U23 USL PDL, and currently is the DOC for North Huntington Beach FC.
Volk received his bachelor's degree in social science with a minor in Spanish from San Diego State in 1992.

Kuntz had led the Titans to 3 NCAA Tournament Appearances, 2024 Big West Champions 12-5 record, Coach of the year, 4 Big West Tournament Finals, 3 Big West Tournament Semi-Final, and 3 Big West Tournament titles and 5 winning seasons in his first 5 seasons while also earning their first South Divsion title in history during the 2015 and 2017 campaign.
Kuntz came to Fullerton after serving 19 years as the men's head soccer coach at UC Irvine, turning the Anteaters into a perennial soccer power that have made four NCAA Tournament appearances in the last six years, winning four Big West Tournament championships (2008, 2009,2011, 2013) and three regular season titles (2008, 2010, 2011). Kuntz, a collegiate head coach for 29 years, was named the NSCAA/Adidas Far West Region Coach of the Year in (2006 and 2008) and has seen a number of players jump to the next level including 12 in Major League Soccer (MLS) and three on various U.S. National Teams.
After leading the Titans to their first Big West Tournament Championship in 2014, Kuntz led his 2015 squad to not only another Tournament title but to their first ever South Division regular season title. Kuntz led his team to the best overall and conference records since 2000 with an overall record of 13-8-1 while posting a 6-3-1 record in Big West play.
With 10 wins in his first season at the helm of the Titans, Kuntz compiled the most wins in an inaugural season as Titan head coach since Al Mistri won 13 games in his opening season in 1981. In his first win as the head coach of Cal State Fullerton, Kuntz led the Titans to a 4-3, double overtime comeback victory over 14th-ranked University of Maryland, Baltimore County on Sep. 14. He later led Cal State Fullerton over his old team, UC Irvine, in championship game of the Big West Championship Tournament on Nov. 15 in a penalty-kick shootout victory, 4-3, giving the Titans their first ever Big West Conference Tournament Championship and automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
His career record is 349-239-79, ranking second in Big West history with 164 victories as a member of the Big West Conference. In addition, his 74 Big West wins ranks third all-time. The Anteaters earned seven All-American honors under Kuntz, and in addition, the soccer program has earned 15 conference players of the year, 111 all-conference honors, and 15 All-West Region honors. Prior to 2013, UCI entered the postseason in 2011 after winning the Big West Tournament for a third time earning a No. 8 national seed and finishing the season ranked 13th with a school record 16 wins while going 16-6-1. The 2011 season was another giant leap in the college soccer world being ranked as high as fifth. In 2010, Kuntz led the Anteaters to a 14-3-3 record and a Big West regular season title. In 2009, UCI won the Big West Tournament and received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and a first round bye by virtue of a 4-1 win on the road against UC Santa Barbara. UC Irvine was rewarded for a historic 15-win season by receiving the 16th seed for the NCAA Division I Tournament and played host to Stanford in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in front of 2,000 fans. The team finished No. 3 in the West region and No. 25 in the nation.
Kuntz led the 2008 Anteaters to their first-ever Big West championship with a 5-1-4 league record, their first Big West Tournament title and first trip to the NCAA Tournament. In the NCAA tournament, he guided the team to the Round of 16 after earning the No. 14 national seed to start the tourney. Kuntz earned his second Big West Conference Coach of the Year honor that season. Four players earn All-American honors, and the Anteaters were ranked as high as seventh nationally. Kuntz came to UCI from Pepperdine where he was the first women's soccer head coach; recording a 23-11-2 record in the first two seasons (1993 & 1994) of the program's existence including historic wins over UCLA and USC. Kuntz began his collegiate coaching career at California Lutheran University in 1988 and compiled a five-year record of 60-27-10 (.670). The Kingsmen won the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) titles in 1991 and 1992 and advanced to the NCAA Far West Regional title game. In 1989, Kuntz founded the women's soccer program at California Lutheran University and recorded a 51-24-1 (.678) record from 1989-1992. California Lutheran's women's team was ranked No. 1 in the Far West region and No. 3 in the nation in 1992 with a 17-4 record. Kuntz led the team to SCIAC championships in 1991 and 1992. The team went to the NCAA Far West final in 1992.
Kuntz coached four National Championship teams in the Donnelly Cup (Amateur Adult Division National Championships) as the California Soccer Association Head Coach for both the men and women. The California State Select Men's Team won National Championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005. His women's California State Select won the national title in 2006, the regional title in 2004 and, participated in the National Final Four in 2005. Kuntz is a 1989 graduate of Arizona State University and holds a bachelor's degree in communication arts. He graduated with a master's degree in education with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction from California Lutheran University. He holds a United States Soccer Federation "A" license, National Youth License, and the National Soccer Coaches Association Advanced National Diploma. Kuntz spent a large part of his coaching career studying the development of the youth soccer player and is nationally recognized as the one of the longest serving United States State Association (USYSA) Directors of Coaching in the United States. Kuntz has been the Technical Director and Director of Coaches Education for the Hawaii Youth Soccer Association for 10 years. He served as the Director of Coaching for the California Youth Soccer Association - South for eight years and was the catalyst for mandatory licensing for youth soccer coaches in the United States. He was named 1995 CYSA - South Boy's Coach of the Year. Kuntz was also director of the Olympic Development Program from 1992 - 1996. In May of 2011, he was appointed the AYSO National Director of Player Development Technical Advisor. In 1994 Kuntz worked at the Federation International Football Association (FIFA) World Cup in Pasadena, California as an (FIFA) Assistant Technical Advisor.
Kuntz founded the Team Soccer Direct camp program in 1977, which has evolved into one of the nation's best summer camp programs and has been involved in the Olympic Development Program (ODP) as a player, coach, and administrator for 34 years. Kuntz played at Westmont College, San Diego Mesa College, and Scottsdale College during his collegiate years and was drafted by the Phoenix Fire of the American Professional Soccer League. Assistant coach Mike Enghofer comes to Valpo in his first year on staff with the Men Soccer team
Before joining Valparaiso University, Enghofer spent the spring of 2019 serving as the top assistant at Indiana University Northwest where he helped train and recruit for the program as it set to compete in its inaugural season in the NAIA powerhouse Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.
Prior to that, Enghofer served as the head coach at Wheeler High School from 2017 - 2018
He received his degree in Mathematics Teaching in 2015 from Purdue Fort Wayne where he enjoyed a decorated playing career for the Mastodons.
During his time in Fort Wayne playing for PFW, Enghofer was a regular first team choice and helped lead the Mastodons to three summit league tournament appearances.
Enghofer currently resides in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Thames joined the Bearcats following stints in a similar role at Stony Brook and Mount St. Marys.
Thames spent two years at Stony Brook as an assistant coach. He assisted in recruiting, while overseeing equipment, travel, the programs budget and NCAA compliance records. He also prepared and executed the conditioning and recovery programs, as well as team training with a specific emphasis on the goalkeepers.
Prior to his time on Long Island, Thames served in a similar capacity at Mount St. Marys in Maryland. In three seasons there, he oversaw recruiting, as well as the design and implementation of training again with oversight of the keepers. In addition, Thames was responsible for community and alumni outreach and he worked with student-athletes to oversee their class schedules and provide academic support.
Thames also has extensive youth experience, serving as head coach of the Maryland State Youth Soccer Associations (MSYSA) U-17 team and head coach for F.C. Fredericks U-15 squad. He was instrumental in coaching the keepers with both groups, serving as assistant director of goalkeeping for MSYSA and director of goalkeeping at F.C. Frederick. He has a B-level coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation and a goalkeeping diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, while he is also a grade 8 referee with FIFA.
A native of the Washington, D.C., area, Thames played collegiately at Delaware where he was a four-year letterwinner and recorded 10 career clean sheets at keeper. Twice a Deans List honoree, he graduated from Delaware in 2009 with a bachelors degree in political science.

Aidan Rahill was appointed assistant coach of the Fairfield University men's soccer team in July of 2023.
Rahill comes to Fairfield with five years of coaching experience, most recently serving as the First Assistant Men's Soccer Coach and later Interim Head Coach at Manhattanville College. During his tenure at Manhattanville the Valiants achieved a No. 7 Regional ranking and the 2022 Skyline Conference Regular Season Title. Rahill had two athletes named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Region three team, seven athletes named to the Skyline All-Conference teams and the Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Year. The Valiants finished their season with a 9-5-4 overall record.
Rahill also spent 2023 working with the New York Red Bulls as an Academy Performance Analyst, working closely with the U13, U14, U15 and U17 academy teams out of Whippany, New Jersey. His role involved pre-match, in-game and post-match analysis, along with individual clipping and opposition scouting. In his time with New York Red Bulls, Rahill worked closely with many talented players. He travelled with the U15 academy team to Dallas, Texas and played a part in their run when they were crowned the 2023 MLS Next Cup Champions.
Previous to Manhattanville and New York Red Bulls, Rahill served as the First Assistant Men's Soccer Coach and later Interim Head Coach at Coastal Bend College for the 2021-22 season. While with the Cougars, Rahill assisted with the development of weekly practice plans and evaluations of student-athletes. Rahill was also the recruiting coordinator for Coastal Bend men's soccer, helping to recruit student-athletes and attending camps across the world to recruit players. In addition to organizing and planning team travel and breaking down opponent film, Rahill was the team's social media manager, helping to develop an identity for Cougar Men's Soccer online. Coastal Bend reached a No. 5 national ranking while Rahill was on the sidelines in the 2021 season and mentored three All-Region XIV players.
After finishing the 2021-22 season at Coastal Bend, Rahill served as a First Team Assistant Coach and Head Reserve Coach at St. Louis Lions of the USL 2 as they narrowly missed out on a playoff spot. The St. Louis Lions were ranked as high as No. 14 Nationally in the USL 2 during the 2022 season.
Prior to making his way to Coastal Bend, Rahill served as an Assistant Coach at Barca Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina earlier in 2021, conducting practice sessions while joining a travel team that made its way along the east coast throughout the summer. Rahill also served as a coach for the Football Association of Ireland in 2018. He currently holds a USSF "C" License.
Rahill was a member of the Missouri Valley College men's soccer team from 2017 to 2021, serving as the team's vice-captain in his senior year. Missouri Valley mens soccer would claim the NAIA National Championship in the 2020-21 season for the first time in the programs very successful history. Rahill was also a 2020 NAIA Scholar Athlete whilst a student-athlete with the Vikings. Rahill played for the St. Louis Lions of USL League Two in 2019 before playing for Alamo City SC out of San Antonio, Texas in 2020.
Rahill is a 2021 graduate of Missouri Valley College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management along with a Minor in Accounting. He currently resides in Fairfield, CT.

Munoz joined Chad Duernbergers staff in Spring 2023 following a year at Trinity after prior stints at Dartmouth College. Prior to Dartmouth, Munoz was an assistant and goalkeeper coach at Bridgton Academy in Maine. At Dartmouth, Munoz created and managed set pieces plays and defensive restart assignments, organized road trip logistics, and managed the team's social media accounts. He served as the recruiting coordinator for Trinity Head Men's Soccer Coach Methembe Ndlovu.
Munoz graduated from Bates College in 2019 where earned a bachelor's degree in rhetoric. He was a four-year letterwinner on the pitch for the Bobcats, started 26 games and earned team rookie of the year and NESCAC All-Sportsmanship awards. As a senior captain, Munoz helped Bates earn its first NESCAC Tournament appearance in eight seasons. He also served as the team's community liaison and as vice president and treasurer for the Bates College Special Olympics Club. Munoz holds his United States Soccer Federation D License and Grassroots License.

Prior to joining the DU staff, Capuano spent the last five years with Next College Student Athlete (NCSA) in Chicago. Most recently he served as a Mens Soccer Head Recruiting Coach, where he was tasked with educating and guiding mens soccer players and their families through the collegiate recruiting process. Utilizing his pipeline of coach connections, knowledge of the game, and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations he successfully placed roughly 700 student-athletes at Colleges and Universities throughout the United States. Capuano also served as NCSAs Mens Soccer Team Lead where he assisted in the training of new hires and helped implement best practices and procedures across the mens soccer department. Angelo earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing degree from Wright State University in Dayton, OH. He was a four-year player for them appearing in 41 matches over his career. He was awarded with Wright States Greg Andrulis Award in 2012 as a Junior for exemplifying team leadership and dedication to the program. Also during his collegiate career he competed with AFC Cleveland at a semi-professional NPSL level.
As a prep player at Massillon Perry High School in Ohio, Capuano was a four year Varsity letter-winner and 3 year captain. He was voted All-Ohio in 2009 as a Senior and graduated as a 2x First Team All-Region, County, and Conference award winner. He remains the only player in Massillon Perrys history to sign a Division 1 national letter of intent to play soccer in college. Club-wise he played one season for the Cleveland Internationals USSDA u18 squad, and prior to that was a State Cup Champion with Ohio Select Futbol Club based out of Cleveland, OH.

Two-time all-conference forward Tyler Madeira joined the Muhlenberg men's soccer coaching staff for the 2021 season. Since his arrival at Muhlenberg, the Mules have won an ECAC Championship as well as a Centennial Conference Championship in back-to-back seasons.
Madeira played four years at Bloomsburg University, finishing his career with 39 points on 17 goals and 5 assists. He earned a spot on the All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference team twice, making the second team as a junior and the first team as a senior. Madeira led the Huskies with 10 goals in 2018, becoming the first Bloomsburg player in 15 years to record a hat trick.

Micheller joined the Skidmore Men's Soccer staff in the fall of 2013.
During his time at Skidmore, Micheller has helped the Thoroughbreds compile a record of 32-18-6 while reaching the Liberty League Championship game twice in three years. In the 2015 season, the team broke into the Top 25 at No. 22; something that had not been done in nearly a decade.
Micheller, a native of Avon, Connecticut; was a four-year goalkeeper at Elmira College where he played under head coach Jeremiah Kneeland. Micheller set collegiate records at Elmira in wins, GAA, and shutouts while also receiving conference, regional and national recognition throughout his four seasons with the Soaring Eagles. In his junior and senior seasons in 2010 and 2011, Micheller was one of the top goalkeepers in the country, with a top-15 ranking in save percentage in both years, leading his team to a combined 24-9-4 record.
Micheller graduated from Elmira College in 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Adolescent Education.
Since 2013, Micheller has completed his NSCAA National Diploma as well as NSCAA Goalkeeping diplomas. He is a head coach at the Albany Alleycats where he coaches during the offseason.

Tony Pacella just finished his 10th season as the head coach of the University of the South men's soccer in 2023, posting a 72-71-17 record overall. The Tigers have compiled a 27-17-8 mark over the last three seasons, reaching the semifinals of the conference tournament in each campaign.
He is the 11th coach in the program's history. In 10 seasons at Sewanee, Pacella has coached 38 All-Conference honorees and 155 to the league's Academic Honor Roll.
The Sinking Spring, Pa., native tallied a 33-49-7 record in his first five seasons with the Tigers, with the 2015 squad reaching the conference tournament finals. Sewanee finished the season 6-12-2 overall and was the No. 8 seed in the league tourney but defeated top-seeded Oglethorpe on penalties and a Ramsey Seagle goal in the final five minutes pushed the Tigers past Rhodes in the semifinals before the club lost in the finals to Millsaps.
Sewanee registered an 8-8-0 mark in 2017 and 7-9-1 in 2018 before a breakthrough campaign in 2019, with the Tigers collecting an 11-5-1 record overall, 5-2-0 in the SAA with a third-place finish in the league. Pacella was voted Coach of the Year by his peers, the programs first Coach of the Year honor since 2001.
Five players earned All-SAA accolades and [Thompson Schollaert](https://sewaneetigers.com/roster.aspxrp_id=3099) garnered Second Team All-Region honors while [Johnny McNeill](https://sewaneetigers.com/roster.aspxrp_id=3093) was a Third Team selection, but the club lost in the conference tournament quarterfinals in overtime.
The COVID-19 pandemic set the program back in 2020, with the Tigers playing just two overall matches. Returning to a normal capacity in 2021, Sewanee posted an 8-8-2 overall record and made it to the semifinals of the conference tournament. Four Tigers earned All-Conference honors and 18 student-athletes were named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll.
Pacellas most successful campaign at the helm of the program came in 2022, with Sewanee finishing 13-4-0 overall, 5-2-0 in SAA action, tying for first in the league standings with 15 points. Eight players were voted All-SAA and 21 student-athletes were recognized on the SAA Academic Honor Roll. The Tigers lost in the semifinals of the league tournament for the second straight year.
[Zach Shunnarah](https://sewaneetigers.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/zach-shunnarah/7430) and [JP Furman](https://sewaneetigers.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/jp-furman/7417) were voted First Team All-Region and sophomore [Trevor Reichman](https://sewaneetigers.com/sports/mens-soccer/roster/trevor-reichman/7426) earned Third Team All-Region honors. Shunnarah later garnered All-America accolades, the second All-American in program history.
Sewanee suffered through a 6-5-6 campaign in 2023, with the club scoring just 23 goals in 17 outings, hitting the crossbar and the post and every other part of the goal except the back of the net on a number of late-match occasions. The Tigers finished fourth in the SAA standings, reaching the semifinals of the conference tournament for the third consecutive season.
Seven players garnered All-Conference accolades and a program-record 27 student-athletes were named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll.
Prior to Sewanee, Pacella served two years as an assistant coach for mens soccer at Amherst College in Amherst, Mass., helping the Jeffs (now called Mammoths) to a 35-1-5 record with back-to-back NESCAC regular season and tournament championships. Amherst earned two consecutive trips to the NCAA quarterfinals and was ranked No. 1 in the NSCAA poll in 2013.
Individually, the Jeffs boasted eight All-Americans, 18 All-NESCAC Academic selections and 10 All-NESCAC honors.
Pacella worked one year as a mens assistant coach at Temple University in Philadelphia prior to his time at Amherst.
He was a four-year starter and two-time all-conference selection at Elizabethtown College, graduating in 2011 with a bachelors in Business Administration and a concentration in Finance.
He served as the team captain during his junior and senior seasons, earning the school's Best Male Athlete honor in 2011. In addition to his all-conference recognition, Pacella was a two-time NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region selection.

Michael Tringali joined the University of Rochester mens soccer coaching staff during the spring of 2020.
He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the River Campus, as he had previously been a player at Division III, participated semi-professionally in the USL Division II and worked as an assistant at multiple Division I programs.
Prior to joining the Yellowjackets staff, Tringali served as goalkeeping coach at Northern Illinois University in 2019. In his lone season at NIU, four Huskies were named to the Mid-American All-Conference team. In addition, freshman goalkeeper Martin Sanchez was voted the second best mens U20 goalkeeper in the country by Everybody Soccer.
During the 2018 season, Tringali worked as an assistant coach at Virginia Military Institute, and under his tutelage, freshman goalkeeper Broden Schull was named a Southern Conference All-Conference selection.
His Division III coaching experience comes from a season assisting the Goucher College mens program in 2017. While there, he assisted with all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scouting, team travel and player evaluations in addition to being the director of goalkeeping.
Tringalis playing experience features a four-year stint with Division III Stevenson University. He was a team captain his senior season and appeared in 31 total games (25 starts) for the Mustangs. In goal he had a 1.99 goals against average and had a career save percentage of .734.
He graduated from Stevenson with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration in 2017. He holds a USSF D License and earned his Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma from the NSCAA (Now United Soccer Coaches).

This is my fourth season as the Emory Men' Soccer 2nd Assistant. My primary duties are working with attacking components that fit our system. I'm also heavily involved with the fitness of the team and charting progress throughout the season to help our head coach making decisions based upon the fitness of our players. Video analysis and scouting reports also are a part of my duties along with recruiting.
In my three previous seasons we had a record of 40-16-3 along with a Elite Eight appearance in the 2017 NCAA D-III tournament.
In addition to coaching at Emory University I'm also a high school coach. I'm currently in my 20th year as a head coach with 254 wins, 3 state championships (Grayson, Brookwood, and Parkview) along with a state runner-up. I've been NSCAA Georgia Coach of the Year on three occasions, NSCAA South Regional Coach of the Year Twice, and NSCAA National Coach of the Year Finalist twice.

Mendoza played for the Eagles from 2014-2017 and earned his bachelors degree in exercise sports science (ESS). As a player, he was named 2016 PacWest Newcomer of the Year and was voted Second Team All-PacWest that same season.
As a Graduate assistant Mendoza has just finished his Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration (MCAA). Mendoza serves as the Technical coach for both the Mens and Womens Soccer Teams at CUI.

Zack MacDougall enters his first season with the Eagles as an assistant coach under head coach Jason Kilby. Prior to coming to UMW, he was an assistant coach at North Carolina Wesleyan College for a season.
In MacDougall's lone season with the Battling Bishops of North Carolina Wesleyan, he helped guide them to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2008. The Bishops finished with an overall record of 15-6, including a regular season and tournament championship. During his time in North Carolina, he helped coach the North Carolina Olympic Development Program.
From 2012-2017, MacDougall earned his first assistant coaching gig with the men's soccer team at Randolph College. In his first season there, he helped the Wildcats reach a national ranking of #18. In 2013, Randolph finished with a 17-2-1 record which was good for a regular season championship as well as ranked #15 nationally. He secured two ODAC tournament finals appearances. MacDougall was a key part in recruiting while at Randolph as he brought in players that earned the accolades of All-Conference, All-Region, and All-American.
While coaching at Randolph, he also coached the Rustburg High School girls soccer team from 2015-2017. MacDougall was named head coach of the year in the conference twicer after leading the school to its first winning season and set the program record for wins in a season.
Zack was a four-year letterman at Randolph College where he was a member of the inaugural men's soccer program in 2007. He made a big impact for the Wildcats as he was a captain for two years, won the coach's award, and was named to numerous All-Tournament teams. MacDougall gained second team All-ODAC and Academic All-Conference honors in 2010 which was the year in which they gained their first ODAC tournament victory. MacDougall holds a Bachelor's Degree in History and a Master's Degree in Secondary Education, both obtained at Randolph College.

Director of Athletics Don Grigsby announced the promotion of Tom Gillette to Head Mens Soccer Coach on Friday, April 7, 2023. In his first year, Gillette led the railsplitters to 11-5-3 season in and the second round of the Division II National Tournament for the first time since 2013. Forward Daniel Burko was named SouthEast Region Player of the Year and a First Team All-American.
The coaching staff of Gillette and Parker helped turn around a program that went 2-13-2 (1-9-1 South Atlantic Conference) in 2021 to improve to 10-8-1 (6-5 SAC) and a SAC Tournament Final appearance in 2022. Gillette coached forward Harry Cooke, who was named the SAC Player and Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-America by the D2CCA.
Gillette came to Harrogate following five seasons as an assistant coach apart of Tim Chastonays staff at NCAA Division I Bellarmine of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
In the fall 2021 season, Gillette and the Knights finished with a bid to their second straight ASUN Championship while placing three student-athletes on the all-conference teams.
In the spring of 2021, Bellarmine's first in Division I and the ASUN Conference, Gillette and the Knights wasted no time in making their mark. Bellarmine secured the top seed from the North Division in the ASUN Championship after going 3-1 in league play while finishing the season ranked No. 9 in the Atlantic Region by the United Soccer Coaches. The memorable inaugural season in D1 included an ASUN Coach of the Year nod for Head Coach Tim Chastonay, four All-Conference acknowledgements and an All-Region laurel (Jonas Skulstad).
The 2019 campaign marked the most successful in program history for Bellarmine, which did not lose a match until the Sweet 16 of the NCAA II Tournament. The Knights went 16-1-5 overall and 10-0-4 in the GLVC. Both win totals set new program records. Along with an undefeated regular season, Bellarmine captured the GLVC Tournament title following a 3-2 victory over McKendree and secured its first-ever NCAA II Tournament berth. The Knights built a 30-game unbeaten streak bridging the 2018 and 2019 seasons and finished the year with a No. 13 national ranking. Tomas Bernedo, Micah Linscott and Eddie Williamson earned All-America accolades from the D2CCA, and Bernedo became the program's first GLVC Offensive Player of the Year.
Bellarmine finished 12-5-2 in 2018. At the time, the Knights tied both the most overall wins and the most conference victories (nine) in program history. Bellarmine finished second in the league and earned the No. 2 seed in the GLVC Tournament, where the Knights advanced to the finals. Jonas Skulstad became the program's first GLVC Defensive Player of the Year honoree.
In 2017, the Knights tied a then-program record with nine GLVC wins. Bellarmine's 11 overall victories were one shy of the program record at the time. The biggest highlight of the season came when Bellarmine defeated second-ranked and Final Four-bound Rockhurst 2-1. Williamson was named GLVC co-Freshman of the Year.
Gillette has served as the Director of Coaching at Oldham Soccer Club. He holds a USSF B license and a Director of Coaching Diploma. He has also coached in the Kentucky Olympic Development program.
Gillette played three seasons (2012-14) at Francis Marion University in South Carolina and captained the team his senior season. During his summers in college, he played for National Premier Soccer League and Premier Development League teams Myrtle Beach Mutiny, Tampa Bay Marauders and Derby City Rovers. He began coaching in South Carolina while in college.
A native of London, England, Gillette attended the University of Nottingham in England and earned a bachelors degree in politics. He earned a masters degree while playing at Francis Marion.

Adam Skolnick joins the Millsaps men's soccer program for his first season as assistant coach. Skolnick started his playing career in Plant City, Fla. where he grew up playing under coaches Jose Rodriguez, Greg Peterson, and Stephen Rossiter. Adam Continued his playing career in college at Webber International University, before joining the coaching staff in 2013 as a student assistant, then with the womens team in 2016 for his graduate work.
Before his arrival at Millsaps, Skolnick worked with semi-pro club Winter Haven United as a director and coach. Adam has also worked with the Florida Tropics professional indoor soccer team where they won the 2019 UPSL National Championship and the 2019-2020 MASL Championship in the same year. Adam holds a USSF National D License. Adams family currently resides in Florida and New York, with a older brother serving in the Army.
I am excited to be a part of a program that is willing to put the work in to be better on and off the field," Skolnick said. "I hope that my knowledge and experience can be of use to the team as they grow. My goal is to make sure that these young men have everything that they need to be successful on and off the pitch. My hope is that every one of them can become great professionals in any field that they choose.

Fred Jungemann begins his tenth season as head coach of the Cal Poly Humboldt mens soccer program. He has compiled a 53-72-10 record with the Lumberjacks.
During this past season, Jungemann led the 'Jacks to a 10-5-2 including a a No. 14 national ranking in the United Soccer Coaches/NCAA Diivision II Poll. Three players were named to the All-West Region Team in Marco Silveira (First Team), Adrian Gallardo (Third Team) and Dylan Tovani (Third Team). Silveira was a First Team All-CCAA honoree while Tovani and Gallardo were Second Team selections. Three 'Jacks earned Honorable Mention honors in Christian Gonzalez, Devin Hauenstein and Motoki Sato. For the second in three years, Humboldt men's soccer had the recipient of the Outstanding Athlete in Excellence award for the institution, this year in Motoki Sato. Dylan Tovani was the recipient of the CCAA Dr. Hal Charnofsky Award.
led HSU to a 15-7-2 home record during the 2018, 2019 and 2021 seasons. His 2019 squad was one of the nation's most offensive teams while his 2018 team finished the year on a three-game winning streak. During the pandemic year, Motoki Sato was named the 2020 CCAA Championship Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete while Dylan Tovani and Devin Hauenstein were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.
During the 2019 season, three Lumberjacks earned All-Conference honors in Isaiah Dairo (First Team), Gus Baxter (Honorable Mention) and Devin Hauenstein (Honorable Mention). Dairo earned All-Region honors.
In 2018, Gus Baxter received a Second Team All-Conference nod as Bryan Hernandez, Ethan Waters, and Martin Calderon each earned Honorable Mention accolades.
During the 2017 season, Jungemann guided the Jacks to their second eight-win campaign during his tenure. HSU captured a trio of thrilling home victories against conference opponents with wins over Sonoma State, Cal State Los Angeles and Cal State San Marcos. Five Jacks earned All-CCAA honors for their efforts. Isaiah Dairo, Christopher Cherms, Mumbi Kwesele, Tyler Guptil and Cameron Spencer each received all-conference recognition.
Jungemann guided the Green and Gold to their first winning season since 2006 when he led the Jacks to an 8-7-2 record during the 2014 campaign. The team was led by NSCA All-Region selection Chuck Pitts who led the Jacks in point (19), goals (eight), shots on goal (20) and shots (40). Three HSU soccer players earned All-CCAA honors with Austin Swartz and Ryan Connor collecting awards with Pitts. The season featured a pair of four-match winning streaks, and HSU finished 4-6-1 in conference play.
In his first season on the North Coast, Jungemann coached the Jacks to a 6-11-1 mark. Senior Zach Hammond was tabbed an NSCA All-Region selection under Jungemanns leadership. Hammond led the CCAA in goals (14), points (32) and shots (60).
Jungemann joined Humboldt after spending the six years at NCAA Division II Barry University in Florida. Jungemann was the head coach of the women's soccer program at Barry, posting a 44-54-4 record in his six seasons leading the Buccaneers, and he guided them to a NCAA Regional bid in 2012. Prior to joining Barry, Jungemann spent two seasons as the assistant men's and women's coach at California State Los Angeles.
While at Cal State LA, he helped lead both men and women's teams to great success. With Jungemann's assistance, the Golden Eagles men's soccer team completed its most successful season in 12 years by winning the CCAA South Division title and reaching the second round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
Prior to his stint at Cal State LA, Jungemann spent seven years coaching at the Division II and junior college levels on the West Coast. From 2002-04, Jungemann served as the assistant coach to the Sonoma State University men's soccer team for three seasons. During his tenure at SSU, the Seawolves earned two CCAA North Division titles and won the NCAA Far West Region Championship.
Most notably, the Seawolves claimed the NCAA Division II National Championship title in 2002 with Jungemann aboard. In 2001, Jungemann was the assistant coach to the men's soccer team at Grand Canyon University.
Jungemann also spent three seasons on the coaching staff at Phoenix College (1998-2000). He spent one year as the assistant coach to both men and women's team before becoming the women's head coach for the 1999-2000 seasons. Under his leadership, the Bears qualified for the playoffs in both seasons for the first time in five years.
He coached high school soccer in the Phoenix area from 1995-99, including leading Arizona Boy's Ranch High to the state soccer title and Moon Valley High to a boys state soccer runner-up finish.
Jungemann played eight years with professional and semi-professional teams in the CISL, USISL, and WSL, primarily in Arizona, as well as two years on the collegiate level at Glendale Community College and Scottsdale Community College. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Integrative Studies from Arizona State.

Through beautiful complexes, new locker rooms, and a beautiful stadium, Coach Weidman and UC have the tools to continue their winning ways.
Before joining the UC coaching staff, Coach Weidman was a goalkeeper for a fellow NAIA school. He saw winning happen at the highest level, achieving national rankings as high as 6 while qualifying for the NAIA final site in 3 of his 4 seasons as a goalkeeper. This culture of success and winning helped prepare Coach Weidman to help recruits and players achieve their dreams successfully.

Gerard Miniaci is returning to VMI for the 2020 season after completing two seasons as a member of the NCAA Division III New England College mens soccer coaching staff in Henniker, N.H. His second season at NEC, Miniaci was hired as the Interim Head Coach of the mens soccer program, leading the Pilgrims to a second-place finish in the NECC. During his time at NEC, Miniaci also earned a masters degree in Sports and Recreational Management. Prior to NEC, he was the assistant coach with the mens program at VMI. Before coaching at VMI, Miniaci was the head varsity coach at Broadway High School for three seasons.

Andy Hoggarth begins his eighth season with the Cavaliers after steadily improving the program since taking the helm in 2016, The Cavaliers finished the 2022 season with a record of 10-6-3. Charlie Walker made All-Conference Third Team.
Formerly, Hoggarth was the head coach at Slippery Rock University for 2014 and 2015. While at Slippery Rock, he guided his team to a 25-13 record over two years. After an 11-7 record in 2014, the Rock went 14-6, defeated two teams ranked in the top 25, won its final five games, and won the PSAC tournament championship. Before making his way to Slippery Rock, Hoggarth was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the University of Akron's women's soccer team.
Hoggarth has also served as the head coach for both the men's and women's programs at Thiel College in Pennsylvania. He has also been the associate head coach at Shenandoah University in Virginia. While at Thiel, Hoggarth increased the roster size of both programs as he took the men's team from 12 to 30 players and the women's team from nine to more than 30. He also increased the winning percentage, GPA, and retention of players at in both programs.
Outside of the college ranks, Hoggarth has also served as the head coach for AFC Cleveland where he has led his team to a conference championship and won the Rust Belt Trophy.
Hoggarth earned his Bachelor of Science degree in sports studies from Northumbria University in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England in 2003. He later earned his Master's Degree in education, with a focus in health and physical education, from Shenandoah University in 2010. He has also obtained his National Diploma, Advanced National Diploma, Premier Diploma, and English Football Association Prelim License from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Daniel O'Rourke joined the Mount's men's soccer coaching staff ahead of the 2020-21 season. He arrives in Emmitsburg from his alma mater, Keystone College.
After earning his degree from Keystone in 2014, he worked for Frostburg State and East Stroudsburg Universities before returning to Keystone. As a graduate assistant for the Bobcats, he aided both the men's and women's squads in all manners of coaching. This included recruiting, scouting, game analysis, practice plans, travel and game day tactics. O'Rourke advanced to an assistant role with East Stroudsburg, working with the Warriors' goalkeepers from 2016-2018.
Both the Bobcats and Warriors reached the NCAA Championships after winning conference titles during his tenure. He would do the same at his alma mater, when Keystone won the CSAC Championship in 2019.
Additional coaching stops include the Electric City Shock in Scranton and UCD Women's Soccer in Dublin, Ireland.
Hailing from Ireland, O'Rourke's playing career began on youth clubs for Dundrum AFC, St. Joseph Boys AFC and Cherry Orchard FC. All three clubs were league winners while he was on the team. Enrolling at Keystone, he was a four-year starter for the Giants and ranked nationally for saves. Accolades include a team defensive MVP honor in 2011, a CSAC Honorable Mention in 2010 and All-Academic honors in 2012. During his senior year, he was the college's recipient of the N. Scott Thurston award, given for both academic and athletic excellence.
Semi-pro experiences including stints with the Electric City Shock and the Pocono Snow, members of the National Premier Soccer League.
O'Rourke possesses two coaching licenses from the Football Association of Ireland, including certification in goalkeeping.
Flo Liu begins his fourth season as assistant on Coach Dave Castellanos' staff in 2024. Liu comes to the program after a stint as the assistant men's soccer coach at St. John's.
Liu helped guide the Red Storm to a 14-5-1 record and a trip to the NCAA Sweet Sixteens in 2019 with St.Johns. The Red Storm was as high as no.1 in RPI during the season. After receiving a first-round bye, the team won in the second round against Syracuse but lost in the third round to No. 1 Virginia.
Before his time with St. John's, Liu worked as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C. from 2016 to 2018. During Liu's time with the Blue Hose, he helped turn a last-placed RPI team into conference champions in 2017, defeating top-seeded High Point on penalty kicks to clinch the first NCAA bid in program history.
A native of Richmond, British Columbia, Liu played at University of Connecticut where he helped UConn to two NCAA quarterfinal appearances in 2011 and 2012, he was part of a defense that set a school record with 16 shutouts in 2011.
In 2013, Liu had a brief playing spell in Germany, including training with Eintracht Frankfurt of German Bundesliga.
Liu holds a USSF B License and assists with all aspects of the program.
Jeremy Payne, a former local soccer star at Midd-West High School and Messiah University who was most recently the head coach at Whitworth University, joined the Bucknell men's soccer staff in June 2023.
"I am thrilled to have Jeremy, who I have known since his time as a player at Messiah, joining the staff at Bucknell," said head coach Dave Brandt. "He is an impressive and well-connected young coach who is an excellent recruiter and is experienced beyond his years. An excellent addition to our staff, Jeremy will be involved in every area of the program, both on and off the field."
A native of nearby Middleburg, Pa., Payne was an All-State player and two-time Daily Item Player of the Year during his days at Midd-West. He went on to star at Division III power Messiah, where he was the 2012 and 2014 United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Year. A key member of Messiah's 2012 and 2013 national championship teams, Payne was a three-time First Team All-America selection, and he was the D3Soccer.com Midfielder of the Year in 2012 and Forward of the Year in 2014.
Payne launched his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Eastern University in 2015, and after two seasons he was elevated to head coach. In his first season in 2017, he led the Eagles to a 13-4-2 record, and one year later his squad finished 18-3-2, won MAC Freedom Conference regular-season and tournament titles, and reached the final 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Eastern was recognized as the United Soccer Coaches Mid-Atlantic Region Staff of the Year in 2018. Despite heavy graduation losses, his team repeated as conference champs and returned to the NCAA Tournament in 2019.
After compiling a 42-17-5 record during his three seasons as head coach at Eastern, Payne accepted the head coaching position at Whitworth in Spokane, Wash., in April of 2020. After a COVID-altered 2020-21 season, Payne's squads finished 16-17-5 over the last two seasons, when he coached 10 All-Northwest Conference players and two NWC Freshmen of the Year.
From 2019-22, Payne also served as the director of player personnel and strategic planning as well as an assistant coach with West Chester United SC. He was involved with coaching the club's USL2, NPSL and U23 programs and worked with players from a number of Division I programs, including Notre Dame, Villanova, Penn State, Penn, Akron, and Princeton. The team finished 13-2-2 in its inaugural USL2 season in 2021, and he coached six players who were selected in the MLS SuperDraft and 12 who signed professional contracts.
Payne returned to his native Central Pennsylvania in the spring of 2023 to serve as the director of coaching with the highly successful North Union United Soccer Club. He will also serve as an assistant coach at Bucknell under second-year head coach Dave Brandt, who was also a standout player and coach at Messiah and is a member of the school's Hall of Fame.
Entering his first season with the Rams, Carlos Pedraza joins VCU with over 12 years of experience in soccer coaching. He spent the last seven years at Montverde Academy in the SIMA program in Orlando, FL. During his tenure at SIMA, Carlos worked with some of the countrys top young players, who have excelled in top-tier college programs, the USL, MLS, and major European leagues. He has also held coaching roles at renowned institutions such as Orlando City DA (now MLS Next). Carlos played a crucial role in preparing SIMA players for collegiate and professional success through advanced training methodologies, video analysis, team-building activities, player assessments, and national recruitment efforts.
Uy joined the NJIT mens soccer staff as an assistant coach in April 2016, having most recently served as an assistant coach at Adelphi University, which made its first appearance in the NCAA Division II Tournament in 2015.
The Adelphi Panthers finished with a 13-5-3 overall mark and received a third seed in the East Region of the NCAA Division II mens soccer tournament.
A 2011 graduate of Fairfield University with a degree in sociology and currently pursuing his maters in sports management at Adelphi, Uy served as an assistant under new NJIT head coach Fernando Barboto at Iona College from August 2014 to January 2015. In 2014, Iona finished 10-7-3 and advanced to the semifinals of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) tournament.
A four-year player for Fairfield, which also competes in the MAAC, Uy was selected Fairfield Freshman Athlete of the Year in 2007. In 2008, Uy was named to the All-MAAC second-team and All-Tournament team, as the Stags captured the MAAC title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I tournament. Matt received athletic recognition on the All-MAAC first-team in 2009 and 2010 and NSCAA/adidas All-Region team in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
In 2008, Uy was invited to the u20 national team camp, followed by a tournament in Mexico hosted by Chivas Guadalajara and spent time with second division club FK SIAD MOST in Czech Republic.
After graduation, Uy continued his playing career professionally in Asia, playing for the top division in the Philippines, where he earned 10 international caps with the u23 mens national team. With the u23 mens national team, Uy participated in the Asia Cup Qualifiers, World Cup 2018 Playoff Qualifier and Suzuki Cup.
He played for Global FC (2012-2013) and Loyola Meralco Sparks (2013) of the United Football League.
The Long Island native attended high school at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida (2006-2007) after being selected for the 2007 US Residency Program, where he earned over 40 caps with the u17 national team.
He played in the National Championship game as a member of the u20 New York Red Bulls and appeared in the final four with the 2011 Long Island Rough Riders PDL.
Uy holds NSCAA National diploma and USSF C coaching licenses.
Former Division III All-Region selection and international player, Ross Macklin, began his tenure as the Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer assistant coach in the fall of 2022. Macklin joined head coach Brandon Bowmans staff to continue an 11-year coaching career that spans work at the club, Division III, and international levels.
Macklin's first season with the Tartans witnessed the program's return to the NCAA Tournament and a double-digit win season.
Macklin previously worked as the director of recruiting and operations, head coach, and camp director for Tiro Sports Pte Ltd in Singapore for three years where he was the lead recruiter for new players from around the world for Tiro Sports United States College recruiting program. While with Tiro, Macklin often served as the head coach for select teams made up of international players that participated in college showcase tournaments in the U.S.
Concurrently, Macklin was a volunteer assistant coach at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, for a year where he helped guide the Scots to a top-half finish in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and a postseason berth. Macklin was responsible for on-field coaching, helping to create the teams tactical approach to games, and scouting opponents.
Macklins first coaching role came in 2011 while he was a senior at Division III Vassar College. As Macklin was earning all-region honors for his play on the field helping the Brewers win their first-ever Liberty League Championship, he was serving as an assistant coach with the boys under 17 team at Middlepath FC from August through December of the following year. This experience, combined with a year as a student assistant for the Brewers in 2012 led to a full-time role with Vassar from August 2014 through January 2019. During that time, the Brewers earned two bids to the NCAA Division III Championship and won its second Liberty League title.
Macklin earned all-region player distinction for leading the team with nine assists and 23 points while scoring seven goals. He was also named to the All-Liberty League Team as a junior and senior.
Additional coaching roles for Macklin include three years in the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP). He also played with Kingston Stockade FC, a semi-professional club based in Kingston, New York, that participates in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). In 2017, Macklin helped the team to its first-ever North Atlantic Division championship and qualification for the U.S. Open Cup. While with Stockade, Macklin was selected to the NPSL National Team of the Week the week they won their championship.
Macklins connection to Singapore started in 2019 when he was a player for Singapore Football Club, the top amateur club in Singapore, that compete in the prestigious Cosmopolitan League. He was also the head coach for the teams campaign in the ESPZEN League and Tournament. In one season, Macklin led the team to the championship of the ESPZEN Tournament and a runner-up finish in the ESPZEN League.
Dempsey hails originally from Galway, Ireland and comes to Hood College after a successful playing and coaching career in Mississippi and Colorado. Dempsey made the move over to the United States in 2017 to play for Pearl River Community College mens soccer program under head coach Drew Gallant. In 2017, Dempsey and the team won the Mississippi state championship and advanced to the national tournament. The following season Dempsey made the move to Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi under the leadership of head coach James Gledhill, a previous Temple University women's soccer coach. Dempsey went on to be a pivotal part of the Blazers attack, starting as a center forward for the three seasons that followed, helping the Blazers qualify for the American Southwest Conference playoffs three years in a row, posting winning records each year and ranking No. 25 in the nation in 2019.
Throughout Dempseys collegiate playing career, he also coached multiple Mississippi Rush soccer club youth teams while pursuing his degree in Sports management.
After graduating Dempsey made the move to Colorado Springs where he coached at Colorado Pride soccer club and was the head boys coach at Vista Ridge High School. Dempsey returned to Mississippi the following year to begin a master's degree in business administration from Belhaven University, where he joined the staff as a volunteer assistant coach. That same year, Dempsey became the assistant boys' soccer coach at Hartfield Academy, helping the program win their first Division 1 Mississippi state championship.
Daniel Carroll comes to WAU after serving as an educator and soccer coach in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a native of Liverpool, England, and he grew up playing soccer for the world-renowned Manchester United Academy before venturing to the United States to play collegiate soccer in 2014.
"We hit a home run with the hire of Coach Carroll," Lyons said. "Daniel came highly recommended by two of the industry's top coaches within the NAIA. In addition, he brings with him a strong recruiting network. He was a decorated player at Rio Grande, where he won an NAIA National Championship, and upon graduating, worked at TOP 25 William Carey as an assistant. Coach Carroll will elevate our department, and his passion for relationships will help in our efforts to recruit more student-athletes across the board. I know he will make an impact in Athletic Recruiting & the Men's Soccer Program."
Carroll has led the program to new heights and was named the Continental Athletics Conference 2023-2024 Coach of the Year. Under his leadership, the team has consistently excelled on and off the field. Known for his tactical expertise, commitment to player development, and dedication to the success of the program, Carroll continues to elevate WAUs mens soccer team to prominence within the conference. His coaching style emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and a passion for the game.
Before Carrolls time in Louisiana, he ran his own private soccer training business and was an Assistant Coach for the Men's soccer program at William Carey University, a Top 25 NAIA program. During his two years in Mississippi, he helped lead William Carey to a record-winning season and to the Semi-Finals of the National Tournament (2018), and to the Quarter-Finals of the National Tournament (2019). In addition, his staff was recognized as Coaching Staff of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches in 2018.
Daniel is a 2018 Graduate of the University of Rio Grande in Ohio, where he won an NAIA National Championship (2015). He also led his team back to the NAIA National Championship game in 2016 while claiming the River States Conference Tournament Championship and the River States Conference League championship from 2014-2018. Carroll was also named Defensive Player of the Tournament (2015), All-Tournament Team Selection (2015), and River States Conference Scholar-Athlete (2014-18).
Carroll earned his bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy from the University of Rio Grande in 2018 and received his master's degree in English literature from William Carey in 2020. He holds his USSF National C License and United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma. Daniel resides with his wife, Arielle, and their cat, Waffles, in Rockville, MD.
Brandon Raynor begins his sixth season on staff at Hartwick in the Fall of 2023, recently being elevated to Associate Head Coach on August 1st. Raynor arrived at Wick after serving as an assistant men's soccer coach at his alma mater, Kings College, in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
In his four seasons with the Monarchs, he helped the program to an overall record of 51-23-7, with a Freedom Conference title and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2014. Raynor aided in planning for practices and competitions, scouting reports, on-field training, recruiting, and he served as the teams goalkeeper coach.
In addition to his experience at Kings, Raynor has also served as coach of Back Mountain Youth Soccer Association Fury 2000 Club since 2014.
During his playing career at Kings, Raynor was both a goalkeeper and field player during the 2010-2013 seasons. In three years as a goalkeeper, he played over 1,000 minutes with a goals against average of 0.72 with 79 saves. After transitioning to the field in his junior season, he helped the Monarchs to the 2013 Freedom Conference title and the first NCAA appearance in their history.
Raynor earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Kings in 2014. He earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Excellence in Teaching in 2017. Raynor also was the goalkeeping assistant for the USL 2 side, Albany Rush in summer of '23.
Josh Oldroyd enters his first season as assistant coach for the Pitt mens soccer team in 2023. Oldroyd will work with the Panthers goalkeepers.
Oldroyd comes to Pittsburgh following five successful seasons as assistant coach at the University of Kentucky where he worked with the Wildcats goalkeepers.
The 2022 campaign was another impressive year for the Wildcats as they posted a 15-1-5 overall record while going 5-0-3 in Sun Belt Conference games while earning their first Sun Belt Tournament title and earning the No. 1 overall seed for the NCAA Tournament. After advancing to their third straight NCAA Championship Sweet 16, the Wildcats fell 2-1 to Pitt for their lone loss of the season.
Under Oldroyds tutelage, true freshman goalkeeper Casper Mols put together one of the best seasons between the pipes in program history as he earned First Team All-America honors to go along with Sun Belt Conference Goalkeeper of the Year and All-Sun Belt Conference Tournament team. The Aabernaa, Denmark native finished off his first season with a 11-1-4 overall record, a 0.76 goals-against average, .700 save percentage and seven shutouts. Overall during the 2022 season, the Wildcats goalkeepers allowed just 16 goals across 23 games.
The 2021 season was one to remember for Kentucky as Oldroyd helped lead the Wildcats to their second C-USA Tournament championship title in program history after defeating Florida Atlantic in an overtime thriller. Kentucky then went on to its fourth NCAA Championship Sweet 16 appearance.
Kentuckys award haul in 2021 was nothing short of impressive. The Wildcats landed three players on the All-C-USA First Team, one on the Second Team, three on the Third Team, two on the All-Freshman Team, and four on the All-Tournament Team. Goalkeeper Jan Hoffelner was named the C-USA Goalkeeper of the Year and earned the Golden Boot Award, while he joined Luis Grassow and Marcel Meinzer on the USCA All-Region First Team.
Under Oldroyd, Hoffelner became the third UK player to ever earn United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-American in 2021. Hoffelner was also a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist and concluded the season as the NCAA Division I outright leader in goals-against average (.417), also tied for first with 12 shutouts.
During an extended 2020 season, Oldroyd helped guide the Wildcats to the third NCAA Championship Sweet 16 appearance in school history, marking the second such appearance in the last three seasons. Between the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters, redshirt senior Aimé Mabika was selected with the 26th pick in the first round of the MLS SuperDraft by Inter Miami FC. One week prior, Kalil ElMedkhar signed a two-year contract with FC Dallas after his Homegrown Rights were acquired from the Philadelphia Union.
At the conclusion of the spring, Mabika earned United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region honors and six Wildcats received C-USA postseason accolades, including first-team All-C-USA performer and C-USA Co-Midfielder of the Year Marcel Meinzer. Redshirt junior Leon Jones earned first-team All-C-USA and United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region distinction before embarking on his professional career with Dunfermline Athletic FC in his home country of Scotland.
In 2019, Oldroyd helped lead Kentucky to an NCAA Tournament victory at home for the second consecutive season with a 2-1 overtime victory over Loyola Chicago. Four Wildcats received United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region recognition, while seven earned Conference USA honors at the end of the season. Mabika was named C-USA Player of the Year and a United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American.
Oldroyd was part of UKs United Soccer Coaches Southeast Region Staff of the Year as the Wildcats marched to one of the most historic seasons in program history in 2018. The Wildcats enjoyed a record-setting fall that year, winning both the C-USA regular season and tournament title, setting the school record for wins (19), reaching the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight, going 5-1 against top-25 opponents, and welcoming multiple 3,000-plus crowds to The Bell.
Working with the teams goalkeepers, Oldroyd helped Enrique Facusse earn United Soccer Coaches All-America honors in 2018. Overall, three Wildcats JJ Williams (First Team), Facusse (Second Team) and Mabika (Third Team) were named All-Americans by the United Soccer Coaches for the 2018 season. Williams was a finalist for the MAC Hermann Trophy, the highest individual award in college soccer, as he went on to sign a Generation Adidas Contract and be a first-round pick of Columbus Crew in the MLS SuperDraft.
Facusse was also named All-Region for the second year in a row as well as first-team All-C-USA. His .49 goals-against average ranked fourth nationally and his .84 save percentage ranked 12th in Division I. Facusse also led the nation in shutouts.
Oldroyd joined the UK staff after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at Evansville where the Purple Aces went a combined 21-16-5. His main duties involved training the teams goalkeepers as well as working with the overall defensive strategy and scouting.
He worked at Lindsey Wilson College as an assistant coach prior to joining the Evansville staff where he helped the Blue Raiders to a NAIA National Tournament berth in 2016.
Prior to beginning his coaching career, Oldroyd enjoyed a stellar playing career at Bryan College in the NAIA. The Leeds, England, native was a three-time all-league honoree, capping his senior season with the Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year award. During his time with the Lions, he helped the team claim both a regular season and tournament crown.
Before his move to the United States, Oldroyd spent time with Altofts FC in West Yorkshire, England, and played a part in the clubs U19 squad lifting the Northern Alliance Premier League title in 2011. He also competed with the Leeds United FC academy as well as with NEW College Pontefract.
Bill Boyle enters his fifth season as the head coach of Niagara men's soccer in 2020. Boyle was hired in January 2016 after assistant coaching stints at Michigan State University, Colgate University and, most recently, the University at Albany.
Last season, Niagara improved to a 5-12-1 record and went 3-6-1 in conference play. The five wins in a year set a new best for Boyle as the Purple Eagles' head coach, and tied his high set during the 2016 season. The five wins were the most for the squad in a single season since 2014.
2018 saw the Purple Eagles go 2-14-2 overall with a 1-9-0 mark against MAAC opponents. Five players were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team at season's end.
In 2017, the Purple Eagles went 1-8-1 against MAAC teams and 2-14-2 overall. For the second straight season under Boyle, the Purple Eagles landed a player on the MAAC's All-Rookie Team, freshman back Matthew Krucko-Moeller. Nine Purple Eagles players were named to the 2017 MAAC All-Academic Team, the most since 2012 and tied for the second-most ever in program history.
In his first season leading the Purple Eagles, Boyle guided the team to a 3-6-1 record in the MAAC (4-11-2 overall). Niagara earned its first-ever win over the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Sept. 25, 2016, a 1-0 overtime victory. The team was led by 2016 MAAC All-Rookie Team midfielder Mackenzie Roach. Boyle's team also excelled in the classroom. Seven of 12 eligible players were named to the 2016 MAAC All-Academic Team, and senior back Konrad Zydowicz was honored as a CoSIDA Academic All-District Team member.
Prior to Niagara, Boyle spent five seasons coaching collegiate soccer in New York state. In his second season at UAlbany in 2015, Boyle helped the Great Danes to their first-ever America East regular-season title en route to being named the America East's Coaching Staff of the Year. UAlbany also had three student-athletes named to the conference's first-team, one to the second team selection, one to the rookie team, two to the all-academic team and had the striker of the year.
This year Boyle led his team in the Spring of 2021 to 5 straight victories in league and a 3rd place finish. The most consecutive wins since 2003. Boyle was named Coach of the Year at Niagara.
Spering enters his ninth season as the head coach of the SU mens soccer program in 2016.
After inheriting a rebuilding program in 2008, Spering has instructed Raider squads that have compiled a 50-46-9 record (.519 win percentage) since the start of the 2010 campaign.
Spering has guided the Raiders to nine or more victories in three of the last six seasons, including two PSAC Tournament and two NCAA Tournament appearances.
The 2010 PSAC Mens Soccer Coach of the Year and NSCAA/Mondo Atlantic Region Coach of the Year, Spering guided the Raiders to back-to-back NCAA tournament appearances in 2010 and 2011 the first two such berths in school history.
In 2011, Shippensburg posted a 9-6-2 record and boasted a defense that allowed just 17 goals in 16 regular season games the lowest regular season opponent goals total since the current school record of nine goals allowed was established in the 1987 season.
The memorable 2010 campaign featured SUs first PSAC championship since 1975 and its first NCAA tournament berth in the history of the program. After winning just one game in each of his first two seasons, Spering guided SU to a school-record 14 victories in 2010 marking the years largest single-season turnaround in Division II.
Among the many records set by Sperings squad in the historic 2010 season included the mark for the longest winning streak (11), longest unbeaten streak (12), wins (14) and goals scored (50). SU scored five more goals in just the second half of its matches (28) than it scored through every minute of every game from the 2008 and 2009 seasons combined. SU had already surpassed the 23 combined goals scored in 2008 and 2009 by the 11th game of the 2010 season.
Spering guided Shippensburg to a 13-win improvement from both the 2008 and the 2009 seasons. He had yet to win a home game or a league game entering the 2010 season, but SU emerged as the PSACs regular season and overall conference champions after posting a 6-3 mark in league play and an 8-2-1 mark at David See Field.
According to the NCAA record books, Shippensburgs improvement from 2009 to 2010 is the sixth-best in Division II history a 10-game margin and ties the greatest single-season turnaround by a PSAC program. SU entered the 2010 season picked 10 th out of 10 teams in the preseason coaches poll. Five of its players achieved All-PSAC recognition, the most for an SU squad since 2003.
Shippensburg made a radical transformation in terms of its record in close games. In Sperings first two seasons, the Raiders were 0-10 in games decided by one goal. The 2010 squad finished 7-3 in one-goal games.
The 2010 and 2011 campaigns marked the first back-to-back winning seasons for SU mens soccer since 2002-03. SU compiled a 23-12-3 record from 2010-11 after going 2-27-7 in the 2008-09 seasons.
Before arriving at Shippensburg, Spering spent four years as an assistant coach at two different institutions. In 2007, Spering was the assistant womens soccer coach at Gettysburg College, helping guide the Bullets to a 6-4 conference record and an appearance in the Centennial Conference Tournament semifinals.
Overall, Spering had a part in 44 wins in four seasons as an assistant. He was a three-year veteran of the mens soccer coaching staff at James Madison from 2004-06 and while at the school he earned his masters degree in exercise physiology. During his tenure with the Dukes, the team averaged 12 wins per seasons and made an NCAA tournament appearance in 2005.
Spering graduated from Slippery Rock in 2002 with a bachelors degree in exercise science. He was a two-year starter and two-year letter winner on The Rock mens soccer team after lettering at Elmira College in 1997 and 1998. He also trained with the Bolton Wanderers English Soccer Club in 1994 and the New Jersey Stallions professional soccer team from 1995-96.
While in the Pittsburgh area, Spering served as a volunteer assistant coach at Slippery Rock from 2002-04 and as a high school head coach at Knoch Area and Slippery Rock Area high schools. He also coached the Northern Steel Select youth soccer club in Butler from 1999-2004. In 2002, he guided Slippery Rock to the Mercer County Athletic Conference championship.
Spering holds an advanced national coaching license from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). The 10-year collegiate coaching veteran is also a specialist in strength and conditioning and has consulted with several camps and training programs. In 2008, Spering joined current womens soccer head coach Rob Fulton as instructors at the Slippery Rock Mens Soccer Camp.
A native of Frenchtown, N.J., Spering earned all-state and all-conference honors at Delaware Valley Regional High School where he was captain of the soccer team and participated in the Olympic Development Program.
Spering resides in Gettysburg with his girlfriend Sadie and their son, Calvin.

Conor Woods enters his second year as head assistant coach for Penn State Harrisburgs mens soccer program in 2023.
During his first season on the sideline in 2022, Woods helped lead Penn State Harrisburg to its third straight NCAA Tournament appearance and third consecutive conference championship. The Lions finished undefeated in conference play (6-0-2) and defeated top-seeded St. Mary's (Md.) in penalty kicks in the United East Championship Game. Penn State Harrisburg ranked sixth in the nation in scoring offense, seventh in the country in total goals, ninth in Division III in points per game, and 10th in the nation in total points. Individually, Kobe Harris (second team) and Luke Myers (third team) earned United Soccer Coaches (USC) All-Region honors, while the pair was joined by teammates Daniel Fombu, Jon Gartley, and Daniel Rossiter as United East All-Conference selections.

This is the first ID Camp that I have attended and it was a positive experience in every way. The camp was very well organized leading up to the camp with very informative emails and preparation work for the camp. On the day of the camp, registration was well organized and the EXACT team was there to help for every step of the way. Chris was an excellent leader and motivated me from the very beginning. It was amazing to be exposed to real college coaches and to be coached both on and off the field. Getting feedback on the day was very rewarding. I am looking forward to attending EXACT Soccer Academic 50 ID Camp in June/July.

The information shared throughout the camp was priceless. EXACT Sports and the coaches were so approachable and willing to share all and any knowledge to the athletes and the parents. (line break) Our son is entering 10th grade and we were not aware of any such camps. He attended a showcase with the HS JV team last summer, but they did not share any information. He attended a college sponsored team camp the week before the EXACT Camp and there were only 5 college coaches that attended that camp. We were so happy with the EXACT's structure and all the opportunities that they give the athletes and parents to ask questions. We will attend another camp before our son graduates HS. Thank you!

I went to the first ID Camp in Philly. We were so encouraged that we attended this one in DC. I have always dreamed about 1) going to college and 2) playing soccer in college. I got to meet a lot of great coaches and athletes. I learned something new at each camp. I wish there were more camps close to me so we could attend more. I am a senior and need all the help I can get in hopes to find the right college. I loved how the coaches were there to help us and give us directions on the spot. My mentor Coach was Mike Eckberg. Towson is on my "dream" list - and we are now going to schedule a visit as he suggested. I am so excited and I know I still have a long road ahead, but every journey has a beginning. Even though I am getting started a little late, I feel like EXACT really has helped me come flying out of the gate!

I loved the style of training and playing at the camp. They were open to changes with certain age restrictions and skill differences (as I am one of the younger athletes). Also, I loved how we were able to meet each coach privately, as well as during training. Lastly, the elevator pitch practice was unique and beneficial as it prepares me for the future.

The best part about the Exact ID camp was the ability to have one-on-one conversation with 30+ college soccer coaches from all over the United States. These coaches were not only from different part of the country, but also coaches at different levels. They say a big part of getting recruited is building relationships with the coaches, and I believe this was a great way to get started! This camp gave us, athletes, the opportunity to learn the basics of college recruiting, the qualities the coaches looking for in a player, and overall get great tips from them.

I brought my son to this camp not really knowing what to expect and was concerned about how young he was for the camp, since it appears designed around high school level players. I was surprised by the in-depth amount of information that EXACT provided us regarding how to prepare for the college recruitment process.
