Hughes took the Maryville mens soccer program to new heights in 2015 with a single-season record for wins at the Division II level and the most shutouts in a season in program history. In the three seasons prior as full-time assistant at Quincy, Hughes helped the program to a combined record of 48-9-8 with two Great Lakes Valley Conference championships and an NCAA Final Four appearance. In his final season with Quincy in 2014, the team finished with a 21-2-2 overall record and the No. 3 ranking in the NSCAA top-25 poll.  During his time at Quincy, Hughes coached four All-Americans, two Academic All-Americans, two GLVC Freshmen of the Year, two GLVC Defensive Players of the Year, one GLVC Offensive Player of the Year, the GLVC Mens Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year and more than 20 all-conference players.   The Blackburn, England native enjoyed a standout career in his home country where he played for the youth teams for Blackburn Rovers, Wigan Athletic, Preston North End and Bury FC. He played in the prestigious FA Youth Cup for Bury FC in 2003 and represented the Great Britain Catholic Schoolboys U-16 squad in Spain.   Hughes traveled to the United States and began his collegiate playing career at Northeastern State (Okla.) University. He led the Riverhawks in goals and points in each of his two seasons before transferring to Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, where he started in every game from 2009-10.   After graduating from Cardinal Stritch, Hughes played one season for Whitsunday Miners FC in the Australian Soccer League second division. He helped the 2011 team record its highest finish in the league standings. The next season, Hughes played for Crewesadors FC futsal team in the UEFA English Regional North League in 2012.   Hughes earned his bachelor of arts degree in sports management from Cardinal Stritch in 2010 and completed his MBA from Quincy in May 2014. He and his wife, Danielle, and their son, George, currently reside in Glendale.

Wake Forest head men's soccer coach Bobby Muuss announced the hiring of Matt Poplawski as the program's new Volunteer Assistant Coach prior to the 2017 season. He enters his second year in 2018.

In his first year in Winston-Salem, he helped the Deacs to a 19-2-2 overall record and 7-0-1 mark in the ACC. By winning the ACC Championship, Wake Forest became the first team in the league to finish the ACC regular season and Championship undefeated since 1999. The Deacs were rewarded with ACC Offensive Player of the Year (Jon Bakero) and Defensive Player of the Year (Kevin Politz) honors, as each was also named an All-American.

Poplawski is part of a staff which earned the United Soccer Coaches Region Staff of the Year honors in 2017. He helped coach MAC Hermann Trophy winner Jon Bakero and CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year winner Kevin Politz, who became two of the seven Deacons to head to the MLS ranks following the season.

Poplawski joined the Demon Deacons from Penn, where he was a 2017 graduate of the Wharton School of Business, and a two-sport varsity athlete.

On the pitch, Poplawski was a two-time All-Ivy League honoree and two-year team captain. He also played basketball for two seasons, appearing in 17 games.

Brian Plotkin

Following a decorated two-year championship sweep alongside Chad Riley at Dartmouth College, Brian Plotkin officially joined the Notre Dame mens soccer program in February of 2018 as an assistant coach.

Plotkin joined Rileys staff at Notre Dame after spending the previous two seasons as a Dartmouth assistant coach. He was on the Big Green staff for each of the past two Ivy League championships during Dartmouths conference four-peat, which included a 12-3-1 mark and the 15th overall seed in the 2017 NCAA Division I Mens Soccer Championship.

In two seasons under Plotkins guidance, Dartmouths Wyatt Omsberg earned a pair of United Soccer Coaches All-America citations and doubled as the Ivy League Defensive Player of the Year. More than 13 players, including Omsberg, received All-Ivy recognition during that span, and the Big Green earned a 2016 NSCAA Team Academic Award in honor of strong performance in the classroom.

Prior to his time at Dartmouth, Plotkin was an assistant coach at Loyola University (Chicago) for three seasons from 2013-15. The Ramblers swept Missouri Valley Conference Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Year awards during the 2015 campaign, while leading the NCAA in both team goals against average and the fewest goals allowed that season. A total of 12 players recruited under Plotkins watch ultimately achieved all-conference plaudits, and the Loyola staff received Missouri Valley Conference Coaching Staff of the Year honors in 2014.

Jim Clementi

Jim Clementi enters his sixth season as an assistant coach for Siena Men's Soccer in 2024.  

Upon joining the Saints in 2019, Clementi brought five years of collegiate coaching experience with him to Loudonville, the latter two of which he served as head coach of Division III Wells College.

"I am extremely happy and excited to welcome Jim to my staff, said then-head coach Cesar Markovic upon Clementi's hiring. Jim is a coach that has worked his way up the ranks all the way to a head coaching position at Wells College. Jim understands the serious work that is involved with building a contender. I think our team and staff will benefit from this injection of energy, hard work, and new ideas into our program."

Clementi matriculates to Siena following a two-year stint as the head coach of the Division III Wells College Express in Aurora, New York. He developed four North Eastern Athletic Conference selections over his two seasons at the helm.

No stranger to the Capital Region, Clementi previously served as an assistant coach for two seasons at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in nearby Troy. He helped guide RPI to the Second Round of the 2015 Division III NCAA Tournament, and was instrumental in helping to land a pair of top recruiting classes.

Clementi first entered the collegiate coaching ranks as an assistant at his alma mater, Ramapo College of New Jersey, in 2014. He previously coached numerous club squads as well as serving as a head coach for three seasons at Hawthorne High School in Hawthorne, New Jersey. Clementi spent his final two seasons as the boys varsity soccer head coach, and was named the 2013 North Jersey Interscholastic Conference Colonial Division Coach of the Year after leading his team to a league championship and program record 16 wins.

A 2011 graduate of Ramapo with his B.S. in Mathematics, Clementi received his M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2015. He was a three-time team captain and both a two-time New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Conference (2009, 2010) and All-Academic Team (2008-09) selection while starring at back for Ramapo. Over his four varsity seasons, Clementi started all 61 games in which he appeared in and helped guide the Roadrunners to 40 wins.

A native of Medford Lakes, New Jersey, Clementi starred at Shawnee High School which he led to a perfect 27-0-0 record and a Group 3 State Championship his senior year in 2006, setting the record for most victories in New Jersey history.

Brandon Tucker

Former Colorado Rapids forward Brandon Tucker joined the Furman staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2017 season.

Brandon Tucker will be a great addition to our staff, said Paladin head coach Doug Allison. He has played for and coached with Coach Boulware and was a tremendous player with the Region IV team, Presbyterian and as a professional. His experience as a college coach and as a player at the professional level will make him a great fit for Furman.

Tucker, a native of Englewood, Colo., played his college soccer for Paladin assistant coach Bret Boulware at Presbyterian College before serving as assistant coach from 2009-11 and as associate head coach for the Blue Hose from 2012-13. He earned All-South Atlantic Conference honors and NSCAA All-Region accolades three times during his playing career. As a coach, he helped Presbyterian transition into NCAA Division I soccer.

This past season, Tucker helped lead the Paladins to an 11-7-1 overall record and the program's league record 20th Southern Conference regular season title with a 5-1-0 mark. Furman placed seven players on All-Southern Conference teams, including in the inclusion of Rocky Guerra, Cole McLagan and Jack Shiels on the first team.

In second season since returning to the Paladin program, Furman posted a 13-7-2 record, claimed its 14th Southern Conference Tournament crown and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament after edging UNCW in an opening-round penalty shootout. Laurence Wyke, the SoCon Tournament's Most outstanding Player, joined league goalkeeper of the year Ben Hale in earning first team All-SoCon honors.

In his first season at Furman, Tucker helped the Paladins to a 12-5-3 overall record and a 5-2-3 Southern Conference mark. The Paladins made a return to the national rankings on the strength of a six-match winning streak that included a triumph over then No. 4-ranked Denver. Junior Laurence Wyke garnered SoCon Player of the Year honors and United Soccer Coaches All-South Region accolades.

A 2010 inductee into the Colorado Soccer Hall of Fame, Tucker played for the Colorado Rapids in 2008 and 2009. He also played professionally for the Denver Dragons of the Premier Arena Soccer League.

I am truly thankful to Doug Allison for the opportunity to join the Furman Mens Soccer staff, said Tucker. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Coach Allison and the very successful program he has built. Making the decision to get back into coaching after being away for four years was something that took a lot of reflection, but after meeting the team and knowing the history behind the program with the ability for me to learn from one of the best in college soccer made my decision that much easier. Along with building new relationships with alumni and the Furman community, I am looking forward to working with my longtime coach, friend and mentor Bret Boulware. My family and I are eager to join the Furman University family and I am excited for the future of Furman Mens Soccer.

Since 2002, Tucker has served as a head coach and administrator with COEVER, Colorados premier soccer training academy.

Tucker graduated from Presbyterian College in 2007 with a degree in business administration and a concentration in management. He and his wife Anastashia are the parents of three children, Skie, Harper, and Sawyer.

Aidan Rahill

Aidan Rahill was appointed assistant coach of the Fairfield University men's soccer team in July of 2023.


Rahill comes to Fairfield with five years of coaching experience, most recently serving as the First Assistant Men's Soccer Coach and later Interim Head Coach at Manhattanville College. During his tenure at Manhattanville the Valiants achieved a No. 7 Regional ranking and the 2022 Skyline Conference Regular Season Title. Rahill had two athletes named to the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-Region three team, seven athletes named to the Skyline All-Conference teams and the Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Year. The Valiants finished their season with a 9-5-4 overall record.


Rahill also spent 2023 working with the New York Red Bulls as an Academy Performance Analyst, working closely with the U13, U14, U15 and U17 academy teams out of Whippany, New Jersey. His role involved pre-match, in-game and post-match analysis, along with individual clipping and opposition scouting. In his time with New York Red Bulls, Rahill worked closely with many talented players. He travelled with the U15 academy team to Dallas, Texas and played a part in their run when they were crowned the 2023 MLS Next Cup Champions.


Previous to Manhattanville and New York Red Bulls, Rahill served as the First Assistant Men's Soccer Coach and later Interim Head Coach at Coastal Bend College for the 2021-22 season. While with the Cougars, Rahill assisted with the development of weekly practice plans and evaluations of student-athletes. Rahill was also the recruiting coordinator for Coastal Bend men's soccer, helping to recruit student-athletes and attending camps across the world to recruit players. In addition to organizing and planning team travel and breaking down opponent film, Rahill was the team's social media manager, helping to develop an identity for Cougar Men's Soccer online. Coastal Bend reached a No. 5 national ranking while Rahill was on the sidelines in the 2021 season and mentored three All-Region XIV players. 


After finishing the 2021-22 season at Coastal Bend, Rahill served as a First Team Assistant Coach and Head Reserve Coach at St. Louis Lions of the USL 2 as they narrowly missed out on a playoff spot. The St. Louis Lions were ranked as high as No. 14 Nationally in the USL 2 during the 2022 season.


Prior to making his way to Coastal Bend, Rahill served as an Assistant Coach at Barca Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina earlier in 2021, conducting practice sessions while joining a travel team that made its way along the east coast throughout the summer. Rahill also served as a coach for the Football Association of Ireland in 2018. He currently holds a USSF "C" License. 


Rahill was a member of the Missouri Valley College men's soccer team from 2017 to 2021, serving as the team's vice-captain in his senior year. Missouri Valley mens soccer would claim the NAIA National Championship in the 2020-21 season for the first time in the programs very successful history. Rahill was also a 2020 NAIA Scholar Athlete whilst a student-athlete with the Vikings. Rahill played for the St. Louis Lions of USL League Two in 2019 before playing for Alamo City SC out of San Antonio, Texas in 2020.


Rahill is a 2021 graduate of Missouri Valley College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management along with a Minor in Accounting. He currently resides in Fairfield, CT.

Christy Gates-Bowes

Christy Gates-Bowes enters his second season as Assistant Coach with the UCSB Mens soccer program and brings 12 years of coaching experience with him.

Christy most recently served as the Mens lead Assistant Coach at Santa Barbara City College for two seasons, helping the Vaqueros reach back to back play-off appearances. 

Gates-Bowes began his coaching career at Brighton and Hove Albion FC in England where he worked with the youth development programs. Christy also worked with the Men's Soccer teams at the University of Sussex before moving to the United States in 2015 where he worked in the technical department of the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association. Gates-Bowes currently holds the role of Academy Director at Santa Barbara Soccer club where he oversees the newly formed Boy's MLS Elite Youth Development Platform.

A native of Brighton, England, Christy played his football at Brighton, Hove and Sussex College. Coach Gates-Bowes holds a USSF A License and a UEFA B License.

Jake Feener

Seattle University mens soccer has announced the hiring of Jake Feener as an assistant coach for the 2018 season. Feener, a 2014 graduate, joins Coach Pete Fewings staff.



Feener has been the goalkeeper coach at Oral Roberts for the last three years. He helped the team advance to the 2015 Summit League finals. 



Feener appeared in 51 matches as SUs goalkeeper. As a senior in 2013, he was named All-WAC First Team after leading the nation in saves with 162. The Rocklin, California, native recorded a 1.38 goals against average in 24 starts. Feener compiled an .821 save percentage and five shutouts. He was chosen WAC Tournament MVP, leading the Redhawks to their first WAC Championship title.



For two seasons, Feener played for the Tulsa Roughnecks of the United Soccer League. He started 28 matches and picked up a USL Player of the Week award.



In 2017, Seattle U won its third WAC Championship in the last five years. It won, 3-2 in overtime, at Washington in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Fewing has guided SU to at least 11 wins in each of the last five seasons-one of five Division I programs to achieve the feat

 Wabash team earned a sixth consecutive berth to the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament and seventh in ten years under Keller.

Cristian Aleman was named to the 2021 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-America Third Team, becoming the first Wabash player to earn All-America honors since 1998. Forty players have earned All-NCAC honors under Keller, with 11 earning all-district or all-region honors.

Michael Tanchevski was named the 2019 NCAC Defensive Player of the Year, earned All-Region and Scholar All-Region honors, and capped his career by earning an NCAA Post Graduate Scholarship.

Came to Wabash from Allegheny College where he served as an assistant coach.

Graduated from the University of the Southwest where he earned a bachelor's of science degree in psychology in 2005. He also earned a master's of science in curriculum and instruction from Southwest in 2009. Keller and his wife, Kate, live in Crawfordsville with their two children.

Tony Pacella

Tony Pacella enters his seventh season as the Sewanee Head Men's Soccer Coach.

Posting a 44-54-8 career record, Pacella has coached 19 All-Conference selections and 78 to the SAA Academic Honor Roll. In 2016, his team earned the United Soccer Coaches (USC; formerly the National Soccer Coaches Athletic Association) Team Academic Award. 

The 2019 campaign for Sewanee was a masterful one for Pacella and the program. The team's 11 overall wins and five conference dubs are each the highest in the Pacella-era. Sewanee's 11-5-1 record is one of the best finishes for the program since 2004. Additionally, the No. 3 seed the Tigers secured in the SAA Tournament ties a conference-best. 

Pacella also earned recognition from the coaches as he was named the SAA Coach of the Year for the first time in the history of the conference and the first since 2001.

Sewanee captured five All-SAA selections, the most the Tigers have placed on an All-Conference Team since the SAA was formed in 2012. Additionally, two were named All-Region. 

The success did not stop on the pitch, as a program-best 17 athletes were named to the SAA Academic Honor Roll, with two players were listed on the USC Scholar All-Region First Team laurels.

Andrew Mpasiakos

Andrew Mpasiakos joins the Brewers following two seasons as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Case Western Reserve University. Mpasiakos assisted in on-field coaching, practice planning, recruiting, practice and game schedules, player mentoring, and community service projects during his time there. He helped mentor two All-UAA Conference selections, two All-Ohio selections, and one Academic All-American. In addition, Mpasiakos worked with the Case Western athletics annual fundraising projects. 

Before his time at Case Western, Mpasiakos served as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Goucher College for two seasons. He assisted with all on-field coaching and recruiting, scouting reports and game film, and monitored student-athlete academic performance. At Goucher, he also coached the second freshman in program history to receive All-Landmark Conference honors. 

Mpasiakos has also served as a head coach at Team Challenger FC-North, the boy's college director and head coach at Liverpool FCIA, a full-time staff coach at Cedar Stars Academy-Hudson Valley, and a staff coach for the New York Red Bulls youth training division.

Mpasiakos earned his USSF B License in June of 2022 and holds USSF C, USC Premier, and USC Advanced National licenses. 

In addition to his coaching experience, Mpasiakos played four years of NCAA Division III men's soccer at Virginia Wesleyan University, where he was part of the 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Championship team that reached the NCAA Tournament.

Mpasiakos graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies with a focus in business in 2017. He then received a Master's in Education in athletic administration and leadership from Goucher in 2019.

Michael Tringali

Michael Tringali joined the University of Rochester mens soccer coaching staff during the spring of 2020.
 
He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the River Campus, as he had previously been a player at Division III, participated semi-professionally in the USL Division II and worked as an assistant at multiple Division I programs.
 
Prior to joining the Yellowjackets staff, Tringali served as goalkeeping coach at Northern Illinois University in 2019.  In his lone season at NIU, four Huskies were named to the Mid-American All-Conference team.  In addition, freshman goalkeeper Martin Sanchez was voted the second best mens U20 goalkeeper in the country by Everybody Soccer.  
 
During the 2018 season, Tringali worked as an assistant coach at Virginia Military Institute, and under his tutelage, freshman goalkeeper Broden Schull was named a Southern Conference All-Conference selection.
 
His Division III coaching experience comes from a season assisting the Goucher College mens program in 2017.  While there, he assisted with all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scouting, team travel and player evaluations in addition to being the director of goalkeeping.
 
Tringalis playing experience features a four-year stint with Division III Stevenson University.  He was a team captain his senior season and appeared in 31 total games (25 starts) for the Mustangs.  In goal he had a 1.99 goals against average and had a career save percentage of .734.
 
He graduated from Stevenson with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration in 2017.  He holds a USSF D License and earned his Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma from the NSCAA (Now United Soccer Coaches).

Mike Singleton will begin his seventh season as W&L's Head Men's Soccer Coach during the 2020 season. Over his first six seasons, he has led the Generals to 88 wins, three ODAC titles, five consecutive trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament, and two NCAA Sweet Sixteen trips.



in 2019 his team earned a 17-3-3 record while scoring more goals (59) than any W&L Men;s Soccer team in history. This team won the conference title and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament as well. 8 players were named all-conference, 5 players named all-region and Oliver Dolberg earned both Scholar All-American and All-American honors.

Singleton's fifth season at the helm marked a historic year for the Generals. He led the team to a 14-3-2 record and a 9-0-1 mark in the ODAC, the second undefeated season in conference play in the last 20 years (10-0-0 in 2015). In addition, the Generals ended the year on a 15-game unbeaten streak, breaking the program record of 12 set in 2000, as the team went 13-0-2 to end the season. Under Singleton's leadership, the Generals won their fifth ODAC championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for a program-record fourth consecutive season. Singleton also claimed his second ODAC Coach of the Year award and coached senior midfielder Dylan Ritch '19 to D3soccer.com First Team All-America honors, the first All-American for the program since 2007. A program-record eight players were named to the All-ODAC teams, including Ritch being named the Player of the Year for the second time in his career, while first-year defender Jack Rawlins '22 claimed Rookie of the Year laurels.



The 2017 season yielded Singleton's third straight year with at least 15 wins as the Generals advanced to the NCAA Division III Third Round for the first time since 2000, dropping a 3-0 decision to North Park after falling in the ODAC championship game, 2-1, to Lynchburg. Under Singleton's guidance, junior midfielder Will Hamryka '19 was named the first Scholar All-American in program history, earning second team honors from the United Soccer Coaches. In addition, Singleton and his coaching staff were named the United Soccer Coaches South Atlantic Regional Staff of the Year. Six players received All-ODAC laurels, including Hamryka and Oliver Dolberg who were both named second team All-Region.



Singletons 2016 squad went 15-5-2 overall and made its second straight appearance in the ODAC Championship game. The Generals received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the second round before falling to Franklin & Marshall, 2-0. Singleton mentored seven all-conference honorees, including Dylan Ritch 19, who earned ODAC Player of the Year accolades. W&L was ranked as high as fifth nationally and finished the season 24th in the NSCAA Poll.



In 2015, Singleton tabbed Coach of the Year after leading the Generals to the program's fourth ODAC title and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. The Blue and White defeated Methodist, 3-0, in the first round of action, but fell to Haverford, 2-1, in the second round. W&L finished the season with a 16-4-2 overall record and seven Generals earned all-conference honors, along with Ben Bayles '16 being named Player of the Year.



Singleton led the Generals to an 11-5-2 overall record and a 6-4-1 mark in conference play in his first season. W&L advanced to the semifinals of the ODAC Tournament, before falling to Roanoke, 5-1.



Singleton previously served as the head coach at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he led the Engineers to a 35-18-4 record, one New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship and two NCAA Tournament berths in three seasons (2011-13).



Singleton's 2012 and 2013 teams both finished with identical 13-5-2 overall records and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament. MIT won the 2012 NEWMAC title before bowing out to Oneonta State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. His 2013 squad won the NEWMAC regular season title with a 6-0-1 league mark and received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament after falling in the conference final. The season ended with a 2-0 loss to Western New England in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Singleton was awarded the league's Coach of the Year Award for his efforts. Additionally, two different Engineers earned All-America honors during his time there.



In addition to coaching the Engineers, Singleton also served as the executive director of the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association since 2010, overseeing the staffing and day-to-day operations, and managing a $10 million field complex. For the seven years prior, he had served as the association's head state coach and director of coaching.



Singleton is also a United States Youth Soccer Region I ODP Senior Staff Coach, the U16 Region Head Coach, as well as a United States National Staff Coach, working as both a coach and psychologist at the U14 National Camp and helping to construct National license courses. Singleton has also served as a technical committee member for both the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup and the 2003 Women's World Cup.



Collegiately, Singleton was the head men's soccer coach and assistant women's soccer coach at St. Joseph's College in Indiana from 1997-99, assistant men's coach at the University of Delaware in 2001 and assistant women's soccer coach at Emerson College from 2008-10.



Singleton is a 1995 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of arts in psychology and English. He earned a master's degree in clinical psychology from Purdue University in 1998. He currently holds a USSF "A" License, a FIFA Futuro III Diploma and a NSCAA Premier License.

Miguel Mendoza

Miguel Mendoza is in his second season as a assistant coach with the Concordia University Irvine mens soccer team.
 
Mendoza played for the Eagles from 2014-2017 and earned his bachelors degree in exercise sports science (ESS). As a player, he was named 2016 PacWest Newcomer of the Year and was voted Second Team All-PacWest that same season.
 
As a Graduate assistant Mendoza has just finished his Masters in Coaching and Athletic Administration (MCAA). Mendoza serves as the Technical coach for both the Mens and Womens Soccer Teams at CUI.

Throughout O'Keefe's career as the Biola men's soccer head coach, he has instructed one United Soccer Coaches Association Scholar All-American, three United Soccer Coaches Association All-West Region players, three D2CCA All-West Region selections, one PacWest Defender of the Year, one PacWest Newcomer of the Year, one PacWest Freshman of the Year, eight All-PacWest selections, one PacWest Player of the Week, and 20 Academic All-PacWest players. 

2021 was a special year for O'Keefe and the Eagles as they paved the way for future soccer generations with a historic 2021 season. O'Keefe led the men's soccer team to their highest conference placement since 2015 (third place) and first ever NCAA West Regional where they played one match against Cal Poly Pomona.

O'Keefe's program was showered with well-deserved awards for an epic 2021 season. He received three of the PacWest's four major individual awards, including Defender of the Year (Izaac Zausch), Newcomer of the Year (Theo Le Calve), and Freshman of the Year (Adam Jones). He proceeded to bring in eight all-conference selections, three all-region picks, one First Team All-American, and 20 Academic All-PacWest players. 

Biola received All-Region nods from two publications and one All-American achievement under O'Keefe's lead in the 2021 campaign. The D2CCA and the United Soccer Coaches Association recognized Zausch as First Team All-Region. The United Soccer Coaches later named Zausch a Scholar All-American. Le Calv and Lawarence Kwazema were highlighted separately as Second Team All-Region picks from both associations.

Prior to returning to Biola, O'Keefe spent two seasons at Westcliff, helping the Warriors to a 19-6-4 combined overall record. O'Keefe was instrumental for the Warriors, coaching the inaugural men's and women's soccer teams in 2019. The pair of teams found immediate success with O'Keefe at the helm, holding a combined .863 winning percentage.

O'Keefe returns to the Eagles after playing four seasons for Biola during his collegiate career. O'Keefe earned three All-GSAC awards, a GSAC Player of the Year award, as well as a NAIA First Team All-American award as a student-athlete at Biola. 

In his playing career, O'Keefe played in the PDL for three seasons before signing a contract to play professionally in Salzburg, Austria. Since returning back to the States, O'Keefe has worked with the LA Galaxy traveling internationally to scout talent to bring back to the Galaxy 2 USL squad.

O'Keefe also made an impact for the soccer program at Pacifica Christian High School. As the team's head coach, O'Keefe earned a trio of coach of the year awards from 2017-2020.

He has this to say about rejoining Biola Athletics:
"I graciously accept the stewardship role that I have been given and I intend on developing generations of quality student-athletes that Biola can be proud of. The opportunity to pour back into the young men of this program is a dream come true for me. I am committed to the growth of these young men; spiritually, academically and athletically."

Will Finnie

Will Finnie joined the mens Staff as a volunteer assistant in 2020. Finnie brings experience working with elite youth soccer players in Marin County, in addition to his playing experience. 

Finnie graduated from Dominican University in 2019 and was a goalkeeper for the mens soccer team for two seasons. Finnie accumulated 15 appearances for the Penguins, earning PacWest defender of the week honors in the 2019 season. 

Prior to attending Dominican, Finnie tended the net for College of Marin in Kentfield for two seasons. In his first season, he led the Mariners to their first ever postseason tournament berth and highest ever finish in the Bay Valley Conference, second place. In his second season he led the state in total saves while maintaining an 85% save percentage. 

Today, Finnie lives in San Rafael and continues to coach elite youth teams and goalkeepers at Marin FC and Redwood High School.

Director of Athletics Don Grigsby announced the promotion of Tom Gillette to Head Mens Soccer Coach on Friday, April 7, 2023. In his first year, Gillette led the railsplitters to 11-5-3 season in and the second round of the Division II National Tournament for the first time since 2013. Forward Daniel Burko was named SouthEast Region Player of the Year and a First Team All-American.  
 
The coaching staff of Gillette and Parker helped turn around a program that went 2-13-2 (1-9-1 South Atlantic Conference) in 2021 to improve to 10-8-1 (6-5 SAC) and a SAC Tournament Final appearance in 2022. Gillette coached forward Harry Cooke, who was named the SAC Player and Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-America by the D2CCA.

Gillette came to Harrogate following five seasons as an assistant coach apart of Tim Chastonays staff at NCAA Division I Bellarmine of the Atlantic Sun Conference.
 
In the fall 2021 season, Gillette and the Knights finished with a bid to their second straight ASUN Championship while placing three student-athletes on the all-conference teams.
 
In the spring of 2021, Bellarmine's first in Division I and the ASUN Conference, Gillette and the Knights wasted no time in making their mark. Bellarmine secured the top seed from the North Division in the ASUN Championship after going 3-1 in league play while finishing the season ranked No. 9 in the Atlantic Region by the United Soccer Coaches. The memorable inaugural season in D1 included an ASUN Coach of the Year nod for Head Coach Tim Chastonay, four All-Conference acknowledgements and an All-Region laurel (Jonas Skulstad).

The 2019 campaign marked the most successful in program history for Bellarmine, which did not lose a match until the Sweet 16 of the NCAA II Tournament. The Knights went 16-1-5 overall and 10-0-4 in the GLVC. Both win totals set new program records. Along with an undefeated regular season, Bellarmine captured the GLVC Tournament title following a 3-2 victory over McKendree and secured its first-ever NCAA II Tournament berth. The Knights built a 30-game unbeaten streak bridging the 2018 and 2019 seasons and finished the year with a No. 13 national ranking. Tomas Bernedo, Micah Linscott and Eddie Williamson earned All-America accolades from the D2CCA, and Bernedo became the program's first GLVC Offensive Player of the Year.

Bellarmine finished 12-5-2 in 2018. At the time, the Knights tied both the most overall wins and the most conference victories (nine) in program history. Bellarmine finished second in the league and earned the No. 2 seed in the GLVC Tournament, where the Knights advanced to the finals. Jonas Skulstad became the program's first GLVC Defensive Player of the Year honoree.

In 2017, the Knights tied a then-program record with nine GLVC wins. Bellarmine's 11 overall victories were one shy of the program record at the time. The biggest highlight of the season came when Bellarmine defeated second-ranked and Final Four-bound Rockhurst 2-1. Williamson was named GLVC co-Freshman of the Year.

Gillette has served as the Director of Coaching at Oldham Soccer Club. He holds a USSF B license and a Director of Coaching Diploma. He has also coached in the Kentucky Olympic Development program.

Gillette played three seasons (2012-14) at Francis Marion University in South Carolina and captained the team his senior season. During his summers in college, he played for National Premier Soccer League and Premier Development League teams Myrtle Beach Mutiny, Tampa Bay Marauders and Derby City Rovers. He began coaching in South Carolina while in college.

A native of London, England, Gillette attended the University of Nottingham in England and earned a bachelors degree in politics. He earned a masters degree while playing at Francis Marion.

Fred Jungemann

Fred Jungemann begins his tenth season as head coach of the Cal Poly Humboldt mens soccer program. He has compiled a 53-72-10 record with the Lumberjacks.

During this past season, Jungemann led the 'Jacks to a 10-5-2 including a a No. 14 national ranking in the United Soccer Coaches/NCAA Diivision II Poll.  Three players were named to the All-West Region Team in Marco Silveira (First Team), Adrian Gallardo (Third Team) and Dylan Tovani (Third Team).  Silveira was a First Team All-CCAA honoree while Tovani and Gallardo were Second Team selections.  Three 'Jacks earned Honorable Mention honors in Christian Gonzalez, Devin Hauenstein and Motoki Sato.  For the second in three years, Humboldt men's soccer had the recipient of the Outstanding Athlete in Excellence award for the institution, this year in Motoki Sato.  Dylan Tovani was the recipient of the CCAA Dr. Hal Charnofsky Award.  

led HSU to a 15-7-2 home record during the 2018, 2019 and 2021 seasons.  His 2019 squad was one of the nation's most offensive teams while his 2018 team finished the year on a three-game winning streak. During the pandemic year, Motoki Sato was named the 2020 CCAA Championship Men's Soccer Scholar-Athlete while Dylan Tovani and Devin Hauenstein were named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team. 

During the 2019 season, three Lumberjacks earned All-Conference honors in Isaiah Dairo (First Team), Gus Baxter (Honorable Mention) and Devin Hauenstein (Honorable Mention).  Dairo earned All-Region honors.

In 2018, Gus Baxter received a Second Team All-Conference nod as Bryan Hernandez, Ethan Waters, and Martin Calderon each earned Honorable Mention accolades.

During the 2017 season, Jungemann guided the Jacks to their second eight-win campaign during his tenure. HSU captured a trio of thrilling home victories against conference opponents with wins over Sonoma State, Cal State Los Angeles and Cal State San Marcos. Five Jacks earned All-CCAA honors for their efforts. Isaiah Dairo, Christopher Cherms, Mumbi Kwesele, Tyler Guptil and Cameron Spencer each received all-conference recognition.

Jungemann guided the Green and Gold to their first winning season since 2006 when he led the Jacks to an 8-7-2 record during the 2014 campaign. The team was led by NSCA All-Region selection Chuck Pitts who led the Jacks in point (19), goals (eight), shots on goal (20) and shots (40). Three HSU soccer players earned All-CCAA honors with Austin Swartz and Ryan Connor collecting awards with Pitts. The season featured a pair of four-match winning streaks, and HSU finished 4-6-1 in conference play.

In his first season on the North Coast, Jungemann coached the Jacks to a 6-11-1 mark. Senior Zach Hammond was tabbed an NSCA All-Region selection under Jungemanns leadership. Hammond led the CCAA in goals (14), points (32) and shots (60).

Jungemann joined Humboldt after spending the six years at NCAA Division II Barry University in Florida. Jungemann was the head coach of the women's soccer program at Barry, posting a 44-54-4 record in his six seasons leading the Buccaneers, and he guided them to a NCAA Regional bid in 2012. Prior to joining Barry, Jungemann spent two seasons as the assistant men's and women's coach at California State Los Angeles.

While at Cal State LA, he helped lead both men and women's teams to great success. With Jungemann's assistance, the Golden Eagles men's soccer team completed its most successful season in 12 years by winning the CCAA South Division title and reaching the second round of the NCAA Division II National Tournament.

Prior to his stint at Cal State LA, Jungemann spent seven years coaching at the Division II and junior college levels on the West Coast. From 2002-04, Jungemann served as the assistant coach to the Sonoma State University men's soccer team for three seasons. During his tenure at SSU, the Seawolves earned two CCAA North Division titles and won the NCAA Far West Region Championship.

Most notably, the Seawolves claimed the NCAA Division II National Championship title in 2002 with Jungemann aboard. In 2001, Jungemann was the assistant coach to the men's soccer team at Grand Canyon University.

Jungemann also spent three seasons on the coaching staff at Phoenix College (1998-2000). He spent one year as the assistant coach to both men and women's team before becoming the women's head coach for the 1999-2000 seasons. Under his leadership, the Bears qualified for the playoffs in both seasons for the first time in five years.

He coached high school soccer in the Phoenix area from 1995-99, including leading Arizona Boy's Ranch High to the state soccer title and Moon Valley High to a boys state soccer runner-up finish.

Jungemann played eight years with professional and semi-professional teams in the CISL, USISL, and WSL, primarily in Arizona, as well as two years on the collegiate level at Glendale Community College and Scottsdale Community College. He earned his Bachelors Degree in Integrative Studies from Arizona State.

Zachary Weidman

Coach Weidman has recently joined the coaching staff at University of the Cumberlands. He is excited to bring his expertise in educating, developing, and fostering players and recruits on the value and importance of an elite winning culture. He is joining a team that is receiving national attention for their success last season in the NAIA. With a record of 10-7-2, the Patriots of UC qualified for their first-ever NAIA National Tournament. Through beautiful complexes, new locker rooms, and a beautiful stadium, Coach Weidman and UC have the tools to continue their winning ways.

Before joining the UC coaching staff, Coach Weidman was a goalkeeper for a fellow NAIA school. He saw winning happen at the highest level, achieving national rankings as high as 6 while qualifying for the NAIA final site in 3 of his 4 seasons as a goalkeeper. This culture of success and winning helped prepare Coach Weidman to help recruits and players achieve their dreams successfully.

2018 was Ian Eggleston's first year as head men's soccer coach at Soka University of America. Coach Eggleston joined Soka from Cal State University San Marcos, where he was the lead men's assistant since 2014. Ian brings over 20 years of experience coaching men's soccer, primarily in Southern California, at the NCAA Division 2, NAIA, community college, high school and club levels. Ian has also spent the past 20 years working in education as a teacher, counselor, career counselor, principal and dean of students.

While at Cal State San Marcos Ian helped the program record 24 wins over two seasons in the NAIA before transitioning to Division 2 and competing in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CAAA). CSUSM beat nationally ranked teams in four of Ian's year working with the team. Coach Eggleston has also spent the last two seasons working with LA Galaxy San Diego's Elite and US Soccer Developmental Academy teams.

Ian grew up near Nottingham in England, where he played for Nottingham Forest Academy U/18s before being recruited to play at the University of Evansville, a nationally ranked Division 1 program in Indiana. At Evansville Ian became the teams leading scorer, captain and MVP while playing as both a central midfielder and forward and helping the team to qualify for the NCAA D1 tournament two of his four years. After playing semi-professionally for the Louisville Thoroughbreds in the USISL for one year, Ian moved to California for his graduate studies. While completing his M.A in Counselling and College Student Services at the University of San Diego, Ian was also the assistant men's coach at Mesa College.

After completing his graduate work, coach Eggleston moved back to England to become the dean of students and men's and women's head soccer coach at Harlaxton College, an American study broad program affiliated with the University of Evansville. Ian returned to San Diego in 2002 to become a founding teacher at High Tech High International a diverse free public charter school, where he taught humanities for five years, before becoming the schools principal. Ian also coached boys and girls soccer at HTHI while also working with local club soccer teams. In 2011 Ian and his wife Catherine opened their fitness studio, The Bar Method Carlsbad and moved up to Carlsbad, where they still live today.

Coach Milder joined the Doane University coaching staff in the spring of 2019. He brings a great wealth of knowledge to the program with more than 30 years of coaching experience, both at the club level and high school level.

Most recently, he served as the head coach at Lincoln Pius X High School where his teams won two state championships and finished with two runner-up finishes. He has served as a club coach in both Omaha and Lincoln as well as serving as a coach for the Nebraska Olympic Development program.

Milder is a nationally licensed coach by the USSF and NSCAA. He has also served as an instructor for the Nebraska State Soccer Association.

Millette has been instrumental in the transition of the mens soccer program to the Division I ranks. Over the course of the five year reclassification period, Millette has helped the program improve immensely, both on the field and in the classroom.  The Bulldogs came off their best season since joining the Division I ranks, finishing 9-5-3 in 2014, earning the program's second-straight Division I postseason appearance and setting records for most wins in a season (9), NEC wins in a season (5), the highest finish in the NEC Standings (2nd), and five All-NEC recipients. Millette continues to play a key role in all aspects of the Bulldog program from recruiting and scouting, to student-athlete development.  Joining the Bryant University community in 2007, Millette worked as a Graduate Assistant to the Athletic Administration, focusing on the areas of Event Management, Equipment Room, and Facility Operations.  In 2008, he joined the Mens Soccer program as an Assistant Coach while continuing his role in Operations through 2010, following the completion of his MBA. 2008 is also when Millette started his career as a youth soccer coach with Bruno United FC.  While assisting with the U15 and U16 Boys Clubs they won three straight State Cup Titles.  In 2011, Nate led the U16 Bayside FC Boys to the US Region I Championships in Lancaster, PA. Millette graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2006 with a Bachelors degree from the renowned Sport Management program as a part of The Isenburg School of Business.  He also received a minor in Psychology while attending UMass.  Millette was a walk-on freshmen for the Minutemen Soccer program.  He also played for the Western Mass Pioneers in the USL Super-20 League before his career was cut short because of injury prior to his junior season.  During his senior year, Nate was the Assistant Coach for the Amherst HS Boys team and was the Director of Operations for the Third Annual SoccerFest tournament sponsored by ADIDAS. A native of Scituate, R.I., Millette graduated from Scituate HS in 2002 where he played four years of soccer, basketball, and baseball.  While excelling at all three sports, he was a standout soccer player in the open-division and was named All-Conference for four consecutive years.  As a senior-captain, Millette finished second in the league in points splitting time at center back and center midfield, earning All-State honors.   A staple in the RI premier soccer league, Nate won 6 state cup titles with the Northern Lightning, South Coast United, and Mid-State Stompers.

Jamie Cleland

Jamie Cleland began his first season as an assistant coach on the Delaware men's soccer staff during the 2022 season.

Cleland serves as the Blue Hens goalkeepers coach after spending the last three seasons in the same role at Monmouth University.

Cleland achieved great success in coaching the Blue Hens' goalkeepers in 2023. Clelands ability to succeed with multiple personnel in net was quite apparent. The assistant coach featured three different goalkeepers throughout the season as the result of injuries, having success with all of them. Each goalkeeper finished with at least one win and one tie. On average, Blue Hens goalkeeping only allowed 1.77 goals per game. Combined, the Hens goalies combined for 49 saves, which resulted in a 59% save rate. The Hens also shut out opponents in three matches. Clelands work with the goaltenders and team as a whole heavily contributed to the Hens nine-win season as well as moving onto the semi-finals in the CAA Tournament.

Cleland helped guide Monmouth to one of the best seasons in program history in the spring of 2021. The Hawks won the MAAC Championship as the No. 6 seed, and defeated Bowling Green in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. By the end of the season, Monmouth was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll and had an RPI as high as nine. The team won four straight road games en route to the conference championship, including a victory at No. 1 Quinnipiac. Under Cleland's guidance, Sean Murray was tabbed the MAAC Co-Goalkeeper of the Year.

Monmouth won eight matches last fall, and advanced to the MAAC Tournament Semifinals. Murray led the conference with a 1.06 goals against average while earning Second Team All-MAAC recognition.

Cleland has also been the director of goalkeeping at TSF Academy in Lincoln Park, N.J. during the last two years. Additionally, he previously served as head goalkeeper coach at Cedar Stars Academy and Arsenal Soccer Schools USA.

Cleland was a two-year starter at St. Peters University, where he earned his degree in sports management in May, 2017.

Longo enters his sixth year as assistant coach for the MIT men's soccer team this fall. Longo has been involved with coaching soccer for the past 14 years which includes two years as the head coach of the Lexington High School Boys Varsity team, where he led the team to a record of 25-4-6 and back-to-back Middlesex League titles in 2014 and 2015. Longo also spent one year as a pro coach of the Lexington United Soccer Club, five years as a staff coach for SFC New England and 11 years as a coach at the Soccer 101 Academy. Longo holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Seton Hall University and a masters in business administration  from Bentley University. Longo was a Division I men's soccer player in the Big East Conference at Seton Hall, starting 62 games in midfield from 2007-2010. Longo also holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma

Revolutionaries hire UDC assistant with distinguished resume

WASHINGTON - The George Washington University men's soccer team has identified Iain Langstone as the newest member of the coaching staff, joining head coach Craig Jones and assistants Ben Mortimer and John Szaro in preparation for the 2024 season. Langstone comes to GW after three seasons as a full-time assistant at UDC and with over 15 years of combined club and college coaching experience. 

"Firstly, I want to thank Head Coach Craig Jones and Athletic Director Tanya Vogel for this opportunity," said Langstone. "I am extremely excited and privileged to be joining the GW coaching staff, and can't wait to get to work."

During Langstone's time at UDC, his role involved working on all aspects of the program, including match analysis, scouting, preparing and running field sessions, and both local and international recruiting. Langstone was a part of multiple successful seasons at UDC. Notably, he was on staff when UDC went on an 11-game unbeaten streak in 2021, and when UDC reached the East Coast Conference (ECC) Championship Final for only the second time in program history.

Langstone played a role in developing multiple highly-achieving student-athletes at UDC, which includes the 2021 ECC Offensive Player of the Year (Vitor Gomez), the 2023 ECC Rookie of the Year (Isaiah Daniel) and an assembly of student-athletes recognized with All-Conference and All-Region accolades.  

"We are excited to get Iain working with our group immediately when they return from break," said Jones. "His experience and player care are a strength that continued to impress me in our conversations."

Langstone brings a wealth of experience from his 15+ years of combined club and college coaching experience, having held numerous positions at each level. Age Group Director, Juniors Academy Director, Pro 23s Head Coach and Maryland State Olympic Development Program (ODP) Assistant Coach are all recent titles held by Langstone, and he also currently serves as the U16 (2008) MLS Next Head Coach and Age Group Lead at Alexandria Soccer Association.

"I know I am joining a program that is in a good place and I am looking forward to assisting in developing the current group while recruiting future student-athletes with a champion mentality, on and off the field," said Langstone.

Langstone played collegiate soccer at D-II Slippery Rock from 2005-09, where he led The Rock to two Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships, three NCAA tournaments and two NCAA Sweet 16 appearances. His career stats include being ranked T-3rd all-time in program game winning goals (six) and T-8th all-time for program games played (77).

Langstone is currently pursuing a US Soccer A youth license, and already holds a US Soccer B license, a United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeper L1 diploma, a United Soccer Coaches Performance Analysis diploma, and is certified as an injury prevention specialist.

Schauls, a former goalkeeper at Division III Wartburg College and assistant coach at Division I Western Michigan, was named the mens head soccer coach at Illinois Wesleyan University on July 7, 2014.

In his two seasons his teams have compiled an overall record of 13-21-2 (.389) with a mark of 3-11-0 (.214) in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.
In his first season at IWU, Schauls's team was 7-12 with six games against teams that qualified for the NCAA Division III tournament.

In 2013 Schauls was an assistant coach at the University of Rochester with a team that finished 15-3-2, went 10-0-1 at home, won the University Athletic Association championship and lost 1-0 to Montclair State in the round of 16 of the NCAA Division III tournament.

From 2010 to 2012 Schauls was an assistant at Western Michigan, where teams were a combined 27-26-7 and were regular contenders at the top of the Mid-American Conference. The WMU 2012 team posted an 11-6-2 record, spent 12 straight weeks in the top 10 of the NSCAA Great Lakes Regional rankings, and received votes for the national top 25 for three weeks during the season.

Schauls worked closely with the Bronco goalkeeping unit, which posted a .91 GAA on the season, the Broncos lowest mark since 1989. His other responsibilities included overseeing the areas of compliance, recruiting, travel, academics, equipment, video analysis, camps, community outreach, and scouting.

In 2011, WMU made its second straight appearance in the Mid-American Conference championship game as the Broncos ousted defending national champion Akron in the semifinals. WMU also posted a signature regular-season win over in-state rival Michigan, beating the Wolverines for the first time ever in Ann Arbor.

Schauls previous coaching experience includes four seasons (2007-10) as the varsity assistant at West High School in Waterloo, Iowa, where he participated in all phases of coaching and specialized in goalkeeper instruction and training. West High produced an all-conference goalkeeper in both 2008 and 2009, and Schauls was a member of the 2009 Mississippi Valley Conference Coaching Staff of the Year. He has also coached at the No. 1 Soccer Camps in Fulton, Mo., and Kenosha, Wis. Additionally, he founded the Cedar Valley Goalkeeper Camp for youth goalies in Waterloo, Iowa.

At Wartburg, Schauls was a goalkeeper and a member of three consecutive NCAA Division III Tournament qualifying teams. He was also an Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Academic All-Conference selection in his senior season.

Schauls earned a bachelors degree in physical education from Wartburg in 2010 and a masters degree in sport management from Western Michigan in 2012. He has earned both the National Coaching Diploma and National Goalkeeping Diploma from the NSCAA.
