Hotalings duties include coordinating the programs recruiting efforts, team travel, and scouting, while also working on developing the UC Davis goalkeepers. Jason has been on my staff for many years, working his way up from a volunteer assistant to his new position as the associate head coach, Head Coach Dwayne Shaffer said. He has been instrumental in the development of our outstanding goalkeepers throughout the years and will now assume more responsibility in helping take our program to the next level. Hotaling has helped engineer the Aggies successful transition to the Division I level and the always difficult Big West Conference, helping lead UC Davis to a 94-89-35 overall record in his 11 seasons, with a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in 2007 (first round) and 2008 (second round) and five consecutive trips to the Big West Tournament, winning the conferences North Division and earning a spot into the tournaments championship match in 2012, while gaining the semifinals in 2011, 2013, and 2015. Under his tutelage, 31 student-athletes have been named to the various All-Big West teams, including five first-team honorees. In only its second full season of play at the Division I level, Hotaling also helped tutor a pair of NSCAA All-Americans in 2008, as Quincy Amarikwa and Dylan Curtis earned second- and third-team honors, respectively. Four other student-athletes: Amarikwa (2008, first team), Dylan Curtis (2008, first team), Brian Ford (2012, third team), and Omar Zeenni (2013, second team), have also been named to the NSCAA All-Far West Region squad during his time on the sidelines. In net, Hotaling has coached some of the Aggies best goalkeepers, including UC Davis first Big West Conference Goalkeeper of the Year honoree in Zeenni following the 2013 season. The record-setting keeper set school career marks for shutouts (18) and saves (220), while ranking second all-time in goals against average (0.98) -- totals that also rank him among the Big Wests all-time best following his career. The 2008 season saw goalkeeper Ryan McCowan allow a program Division I record-low 20 goals (while leading the Big West with a 0.87 GAA), a mark that was later equalled in 2012 behind the combined efforts of Zeenni and Kris Schlutz, while his keepers have posted a sub-1.00 team goals against average on three occasions, including in each of the last two seasons. The Aggies goalkeepers have also stopped better than 70 percent of the shots against them in five of his nine seasons, including a Division I-record .780 in 2012. In addition to this duties at UC Davis, Hotaling works as a head coach for the U14 Boys team at FC Elk Grove and with the Olympic Development Program in District 6, coaching and developing players while serving as a state evaluator. He also holds a B license, along with an advanced national coaching license and a goalkeeper license, with the NSCAA and has taken leadership and management courses along the way. After his collegiate playing career at Santa Rosa Junior College and Chico State, Hotaling was a member of the Chico Rooks of the Premier Development League. He then returned to his hometown of Rohnert Park, Calif., where he finished his undergraduate degree at Sonoma State in 1997. Hotaling majored in speech communication with a minor in English. Dan did that as a player, and is now returning to the program in a new role with the desire to lead us to our goal of winning a National Championship."
Following four years at UNC Asheville, including a redshirt season in 2011, Jackson arrived on the Denver campus in 2015, leading the Pioneers to their first of back-to-back unbeaten regular seasons. Jackson allowed just eight goals in 2015 for 0.40 goals against average, making 40 saves en-route to 12 clean sheets and a 15-1-3 record.
"The way the program has progressed throughout the years has been inspiring - even since I played in Jamie's inaugural season as a head coach back in 2015," Jackson said. "The student-athletes, coaching staff and support staff are so granular in their approach with everything that they do, on and off the field, that I had to come back and be a small piece. The University of Denver is a special place for me as it has provided me with an outstanding education and an unforgettable student-athlete experience. However, the biggest take away was how important the culture is within an organization and the emphasis on having good character - whether that be amongst teammates or coworkers. I am excited to contribute in any way that I can."
Jackson's goals against average in 2015 was good for third in the country in that category, while he also finished 10th in save percentage (0.833).
Following the 2015 campaign, Jackson finished his second year of his MS in marketing at the University of Denver, while serving as the program's graduate assistant coach. Jackson also signed a professional contract to play for the [USL's Colorado Switchbacks FC](https://gazette.com/sports/switchbacks-dan-jackson-overcomes-odds-en-route-to-pro-career/article_faac621f-c947-5b41-ac91-a86f78dae6ac.html).

Assistant Coach
Central Arkansas
Division 1
Conway The Central Arkansas men's soccer staff has a new member, as head coach Ross Duncan has announced the hiring of Ian Henry.
Henry offers a unique knowledge of both the Bears and the Missouri Valley, having spent the past three seasons at MVC member Evansville While at Evansville, he helped the Aces improve their win total in each of his three seasons, from three in 2015 to 11 this past season. Prior to joining the Aces, Henry spent two seasons a Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, guiding the Panthers to 28 wins in two seasons, including a NCAA Division II National Tournament second round appearance.
While at Drury, Henry also served at the head coach of the Springfield Demize, a member of the United Soccer League's Professional Development League. Under Henry's guidance, the Demize finished third in its conference in 2013, its best-ever finish to that point.
Henry got his first taste of the MVC with SIUE, spending two seasons as the Cougars' Director of Operations. During his time in Edwardsville, the Cougars went 21-15-4 while making an appearance in the MVC Championship Match in 2012.
"I think one of the things that made me feel comfortable bringing Ian is a level of familiarity," said Duncan. "Knowing Ian, seeing the work that he did at what is a very competitive program at Evansville, made it very easy to make the offer. The process that Evansville went through while Ian was there is quite similar to the process we've gone through here; transforming a program that was going through some struggles to one that is competing for conference championships."
"I think this is an exciting program," said Henry of the Bears. "Seeing what Ross has done over the last number of years while I was at Evansville, and where the program has come to and the momentum is has, is definitely something that I was interested in jumping on board with."
"My goal is to help the program get better every day," said Henry. "Hopefully I can add a different perspective for the team and for the opponents in the conference as well."

Lewis has worked for top-25 teams across all three NCAA divisions, developing player-of-the-year, all-conference, all-region, all-America honorees, and professional contract signees. With the exception of the 2015 season, every major-minutes collegiate goalkeeper Lewis has worked with has held top-25 national performance rankings, often in multiple categories, for the better part of at least one season in their collegiate careers. Among those are multiple conference-goalkeeper-of-the-year, and all-conference goalkeepers in each NCAA division, all-region goalkeepers in each NCAA division, All-America goalkeepers, national-goalkeeper-of-the week, including a 3-time All-American invited to MLS Red Bulls pre-season camp.
Most recently, at Air Force, in two different seasons(2017 and 2018), Lewis mentored two different goalkeepers, John Wendt and Andrea Seazzu, to Western Athletic Conference (WAC) All-Conference first teams and All-Western Region first teams, with both keepers ranked in top-20 stats for the better part of both seasons. In 2018, Seazzu was named WAC Defensive Player of the Year.
While at Mines, during the 2014 and 2015 seasons, Lewis mentored former Orediggers goalkeeper, [Colin Hall](https://minesathletics.com/roster.aspxrp_id=3673), to multiple honors: All-RMAC 1st Team, NSCAA Second-Team All-Region, D2CCA Second-Team All-Region, and RMAC Goalkeeper of the Year.

In addition to helping develop more than ten players who went on to play in college or international professional ranks, he mentored record-setting goalkeepers for the Bahamas National Mens and Womens Teams.
While in the Bahamas, he finished his playing days between the sticks at the age of 37, winning a national title with AFC Bears, their first in fourteen years. Once he hung up his gloves, he coached league and cup-winning teams for the Bears, and developed record-setting players in the BFAs national league.
Lewis has coached youth teams to three state championships, in two different sports in two different states, and coached soccer tournament champions and finalists on all but two of the u13, u16, u18, and u19 teams he has coached.

This was a wonderful opportunity to meet coaches and other players in a completely different format. There is a chance to show individual skills that may not be seen in a regular soccer tournament environment. The interaction with coaches is outstanding and I really feel that I was able to get exposure from EXACT that I would not have anywhere else. Thanks for a great session and options to see so many coaches. I can't wait to see where this opportunity leads me!

The numerous pieces of advice for student athletes was really good. This camp was a confidence builder for my son, and also empowering. Thanks for a well organized and educational camp.

I brought my son to this camp not really knowing what to expect and was concerned about how young he was for the camp, since it appears designed around high school level players. I was surprised by the in-depth amount of information that EXACT provided us regarding how to prepare for the college recruitment process. Without a doubt, we would have missed out on the opportunity to know how the process works and the information you provided was insightful and we have confidence moving forward as our son moves into high school and college beyond.
Great job and we look forward to attending more EXACT camps, as well as introduce my younger son to the camps when the time is right. Thank you!

The camp was very well organized leading up to the camp with very informative emails and preparation work for the camp. On the day of the camp, registration was well organized and the EXACT team was there to help for every step of the way. Chris was an excellent leader and motivated me from the very beginning. It was amazing to be exposed to real college coaches and to be coached both on and off the field. Getting feedback on the day was very rewarding.
